* air is garbage in this game. The only actual counter to air is...other air, because any ground counters are largely easily countered by "bust flares and fly out of range/site". Unless you can somehow coordinate 4+ people hitting it with stingers while flares are down at the exact same time (lol good luck getting your whole squad to do this with randoms) they genuinely feel unkillable from ground if the pilot has half a brain.
Just watching air steamroll matches when the other team doesn't have good pilots is boring and lame and sucks. Even when you're on the winning team.

They reduced the frequency in which the nightbird, attack chopper, and jets spawn and felt this would lead to less vehicle dominance. They increased the number of transports which are exponentially worse to deal with, in my opinion. Yes the nightbird can be annoying with a lot of really good pilots out there (I have max'ed out my NB) but, it's less common than 3 Super Hinds or Condors that are running the entirety of the map, air and infantry alike. Those are the real problems. I've said it before, why do TRANSPORTS need insanely heavy caliber weapons, health/health regen, and shortened cool down on flairs - more than ATTACK vehicles? Their description of what they should do is in their freakin class title. Make it make sense to me, EA. I agree, the only way counter these are to have 4+ people coordinate with AA launchers, but that's nearly impossible. It's impossible with randoms and the VOIP is broken on top of it.
Lately I've been playing much more infantry because the air combat has gotten so sweaty and is so unbalanced that it makes the game extremely frustrating to play.
With how little they are updating, patching, and implementing changes, I don't have much hope for this game. I want to, but you all are making it so hard, EA.
