The first PvZ game I played was the original from 2009! Read about it on a magazine and was thrilled about playing it!!
I love all the six mainline games!! I can't choose a favourite one, but if I had to, it'd be a close tie between PvZ Heroes, Battle for Neighborville, and Plants vs. Zombies 2. That said, I am team PC & console, I love all the three shooter games just a little more than the mobile ones.
My favourite character of the franchise... never asked that question to myself before. Gotta be another tie, this time between Neptuna, Electric Boogaloo and Huge-Gigantacus from Heroes, Night Cap, All-Star and Space Cadet from Battle for Neighborville, and Ghost Pepper, Cold Snapdragon and Missile Toe from Plants vs. Zombies 2. All the characters have so much personality even if it is just a few animations, descriptions or just from the design. Character design is definetly one of the, if not, the strongest point of the whole franchise! So charming, you can just tell that a lot of love and care was poured into every single one of the colourful characters in the games.
My favourite interaction was indeed in Garden Ops! A few years ago after Garden Warfare 2 had released on Steam I played some Garden Ops, when I enter this game and everyone is playing as Sunflower and its variants. That was a fun game, we ended up going through the whole mission as four little sun makers.
I own a lot of merch since I love this franchise! I've got plushies, Burger King buckets, masks, and games, and some toys too. Definetly owned a whole lot more when I was a kid though.
My best memory was playing all of the games after wanting to do so for a long time! Experiencing all the things the franchise has to offer was a great ride, all the way from PC, to mobile, to console titles, all of the games rock!
The last thing I could share... my gratitude to not only the developers at PopCap, but the PvZ community as well! It's not a surprise that the last few years for the franchise haven't been very positive to say the least, but there is always a rainbow after the rain. PvZ heroes received some balance changes after almost 7 years, that alone made me very happy and hopeful about the future of that game! What I really want to say is that I love this franchise a lot, I know other people do so as well! Thank you for all the effort everyone at PopCap and EA made for the franchise's 16th birthday. Let's go kick some grass and hope for the best!! 🌱🧟
