My favorite PvZ memory has got to be one of my birthdays as a child. Me and a bunch of my friends were huddled around the TV, bags of chips, and some probably really greasy Playstation 4 remotes. We had been in love with the Garden Warfare 2 games, and we finally got around to playing Infinity Time to try and unlock party characters! Now it was all fun, and we were having a blast, but just as everyone was cheering us on and we were about to hit wave twenty, the worst thing possible happened: The pizza showed up. As a bunch of kids, we went to get up and eat, and unbeknownst to us, you cant really pause Playstation games, and we lost all our progress.
Even in that moment, we still had an amazing time, shaped by the amazing games in the Plants vs Zombies franchise. I've played every PvZ game, from the original Plants vs Zombies all the way back in 2009 as a child, to the Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare games, which shaped my childhood, and PvZ Heroes, which got me in to other virtual trading card games like Pokemon. These games have been around through my whole life, and even today, now entering my adult life, I still find time to hang out in PvZ communities, even starting a discord where others with the same interests as me could hang out, which now has over 1,500 members. In this Discord we've even partnered with content creators, and hosted large events, like The Garden Fiesta, which had numbers logging into Garden Warfare in the thousands. These games have been amazing, and I cant wait to see where they go next!
