Blog Post
Wow, I can’t wait for this. This game is so very beloved to me, and it turning 16 is an incredibly special occasion because of how much I love this franchise. I mean, even my username in online spaces (ImpIsDum) is PvZ themed! Anyways, as for the questions…
What is your first memory of Plants vs Zombies?
I don’t really know, this series has been with me for quite literally as long as I can remember, so that makes it quite difficult to pinpoint the first memory of it was.
What is your favourite Plants vs Zombies game? Are you team mobile or team PC&consoles?
That’s really hard to say. My most played is easily BFN, and although I haven’t had the hardware to play GW2 for much of my life, I don’t think having that hardware would have changed that, since I do love BFN. As for whether I prefer mobile or PC and console, it’s super hard to say. The shooter games are awesome, but also, mobile has the original and Heroes. Again, I play BFN the most of any game by far, so my the one which I have the most play time on is definitely console.
What is your favorite character of the whole franchise?
It’s Snow Pea, close second is Cattail/Lazer Cattail. If we’re talking individual characters, Beau Tanic from BFN. Don’t ask why, I don’t know. I just sorta think he’s cool.
What was your favorite interaction with other players?
The only time I have ever friended anyone in a game that I don’t know personally was on BFN, and it was someone named Ninegauge. They’re cool.
Do you own any Plants vs Zombies merch?
Oh god, I own SO MUCH. As a kid, I even got in to plushie making just to make more PvZ plushies. In total, I probably made around 30 or so and bought approximately 15. In fact, I just recently got the sunflower YouTooz, and I’m super happy with it.
What is your funniest or best memory?
Definitely one time when I was playing PvZ Heroes with my friend. We were walking home together while playing, and I was playing a joke Wall-knight deck centered around conjure. I went in to the match not actually expecting great results, since the strategy relied on Starch Lord (as YouTuber FryEmUp illustrated for us, is, in fact, not a good card), but I couldn’t have been more wrong. I kept getting really good cards, like Spudow’s super, but I mostly got a lot of Soul Patches. There ended up being about five in play that game even though I didn’t have any unlocked to use in decks, which was incredibly funny to me. Showed him the clip again today, and I don’t think he remembers this occasion with the same level of fondness I do, being on the receiving end of the Soul Patches and all.
Anything else to share?
I feel obligated to thank you all. This series has been with me my entire life and has helped me get through some really tough times. I really appreciate all work you put in to making these games. I’ve also got to thank the community, you guys are super awesome. Happy 16th birthday PvZ!
