Well, I know this might never reach the people who worked on BFN, but if by any chance it does, I just want to say a huge thank you for the game.
I first discovered the PVZ franchise when I was 11 with the original game, and ever since then, I’ve been hooked on its universe. The soundtrack, the design, the unique art style – it all really defined the series for me. I still hold on to that special feeling from the nighttime pool levels and the endless waves.
A little later, I found out they were releasing a new game, something completely different – a mix of FPS and Hero Shooter, Garden Warfare. Honestly, I’ve never been so excited for a game before. When it came out, I watched the trailer at least 200 times, watched every video, and appreciated every update. Unfortunately, at the time, I couldn’t afford to play it, but I always wanted to. Eventually, I bought an Xbox 360 just for GW and Forza, but right after, my Wi-Fi got cut off, and I couldn’t even play a single match of GW.
Years later, here I am, talking to you guys, playing BFN on my Switch for the first time. And honestly, it still feels magical. The vibe, the memories – seeing that 2D cartoonish game evolve to this point really makes me think about how big this franchise is. Not just in terms of money, but maybe for sentimental value too.
I know BFN isn’t coming back, I know it’s been shut down, and it'll probably be remembered as a failure by some. But for me, it was my first "GW" that I actually got to play, and I swear, I wish I could describe better how I feel, but nothing can really capture how great it feels to play this.
Thank you to everyone who worked on this! I’ll cherish it forever.
