UNIT NAME: Baylan Skoll

ALIGNMENT: Dark Side

CATEGORIES: Tank, Leader, Mercenary, Unaligned Force User

------

Key Attributes:

  • Insane Offense and Defense (GET THOSE STACKS)
  • Throw back and get them stacks of Soldiers of Fortune (THE STACKS)
  • He just be Taunting, Baylan Skoll will do everything in their power to keep that Taunt (STACKS HAPPEN HERE)
  • Stacks on stacks on stacks on stacks

Inspiration:

  • Even though his on-screen presence is limited to only the Ahsoka series, we loved the gravitas and power Ray Stevenson brought to the role and thought him and the character he portrayed worthy of an Epic Confrontation
  • Each of his ability names comes from a quote from the show

Strategy Tips:

  • Being a Mercenary Leader, Baylan Skoll can hand out stacks of Soldier of Fortune to Mercenary allies, including the existing characters who received the Mercenary tag retroactively. At the start of battle all Mercenaries receive a stack of Soldier of Fortune for each Mercenary ally they have, so a full Merc squad will see 5 additional stacks on every character. Additionally, whenever he Taunts, a random Mercenary Ally gets a stack of Soldier of Fortune. Finally, he doubles the amount of stacks that Mercenary allies receive

FAQ:

  • How do you acquire Baylan Skoll?
    • Baylan Skoll is an Epic Confrontation character, with his event starting on 10/31 at 11a Pacific. His event will run for a limited time window and require you to have the following characters at Relic 7:  Grand Admiral Thrawn, Great Mothers, Marrok, Morgan Elsbeth, and Shin Hati.
  • Does he have an exclusive Datacron?
    • YES! It will only be available during the FIRST RUN of his Epic Confrontation event. You can’t get it on any future runs of the event. See the newsletter in Baylan’s release for more information.

Hell Yeah!!! XD Finally The One And Only Baylan Skoll!!!  Whalen For Baylan Xd

Animations and Kit are really Cool, as well as the way He is Standing. Thank you so much for Making him an Epic Confrontation Character, He really Deserved it, May his Soul Rest in Peace.

May The Force Be With You SWGOH XD

  • If there is a non-Galactic Legend Ahsoka enemy,

This is so badly written. If you already know what it means, then fine. It seems clear.

But if you don't know what it means it could mean,

"If any enemy exists who is not GLAhsoka -- this applies even when GLAhsoka is the leader, if there is a non-GLA enemy"

    or

"If there is an enemy Ahsoka who is not a Galactic Legend"

    but wait! It gets worse!

Do the effects persist through the death of that Ahsoka enemy? If yes, then what it actually means is either:

"If at the start of battle any enemy existed who is not GLAhsoka -- this applies even when GLAhsoka is the leader, if there is a non-GLA enemy -- then for the rest of the battle ..."

    Or

"If at the start of encounter any enemy existed who is not GLAhsoka -- this applies even when GLAhsoka is the leader, if there is a non-GLA enemy -- then for the rest of the encounter ..."

    Or

"If at the start of battle any enemy Ahsoka existed who was not a Galactic Legend, then until the end of battle ... "

    Or

"If at the start of the encounter any enemy Ahsoka existed who was not a Galactic Legend, then until the end of the encounter ... "

They spend so many words on these kits and they're still terribly unclear. Can you imagine going into battle against JMK, killing CAT first and then suddenly finding all your advantages disappear because it only works while there is an Ahsoka enemy, not for the entire encounter/battle if there was one at the start?

This is honestly nuts. They really need a lawyer to write these things. We're trained to find ambiguities in language (and then either exploit them or eliminate them) and it's going to be obvious to us, but what happens when someone with that training doesn't review the language is that everyone comes in with their own bias, and they all think that they know what the ability does from what they read, but they really don't. And then they get mad that the ability doesn't do what they thought it was going to do.

This isn't even the only such ambiguity in this kit, it was just one of a couple different ones that leapt out at me.
