Friday Highlights - October 17th

October is already halfway through! It has been getting chillier here, I have put on the stove pretty much everyday lately (to my dog’s delight). How about you, have you been cozying up with all your Halloween blankets or are you still enjoying the last (or early, depending where you live) rays of sunshine? 🦇

• ⛺ First up, RelaxedRealmgame​ is asking all of you what type of camps you have built with Adventure Awaits, so feel free to share a bit of inspiration with us! Have you opted for the kids summer camp, which seems to be a popular choice? Did you embrace drama by creating a Love Island type of contest? I was in the process of setting up a resort for cat lovers, but since we’re in the middle of Spooky Season, I paused my plans to start a Haunted Mansion resort for all amateurs of strange and paranormal activities. 🏚️ I know that the community is super creative, so make sure to share all your builds or ideas in the thread!
  
  
• 🍼 This week, Sami0623​  is going back to the Lianna Luz: 100 Baby Challenge, set in Sulani. But before we get to know Lianna, we have to meet the background and important characters that will play a part in the story. Lianna is the daughter of Dante, a spellcaster and Kalani, a mermaid. Dante was supposed to marry a strong spellcaster from the same elite society they belong to, but he had other plans for himself (and in the end, it seems that he married a mermaid!). We then learn about Kyera’s story, a very strong spellcaster who lacks control over her powers, and wants to find her suitable match. This setting sounds very promising for the story, so let’s keep an eye on this challenge so we don’t miss the next chapters! 👀
  
  
• 👠 Wicked: For Good is less than two months away, so this is the perfect timing to share this fairy recreation of Land of Oz by KarilynMonroe2​ . It features the iconic yellow brick road and some of the houses from Munchkin Lands, as well as the Emerald City (if you’d like to spend one short day there), or also the castle of the Wicked Witch of the West. More builds and lots will be added so make sure to head over the rainbow and check out the thread regularly. I can’t wait to see the final result, I just know that it will be so pretty, it might just be... defying gravity 🎶
  
  
• 🏢 This week, PriestessBizarre​ is sharing a beautiful building with three separate apartments, FourFloor Deco Apartments. It includes a common area on the ground floor with a bar and loungeroom, as well as a swimming pool. The rest of the floors are made for different types of flats, depending on the households that you pick: there is a single-person apartment, another one is made for a couple and the last one is made for two separate sims. Everything looks very modern and clean, and each floor has its own decoration and personality. I love the curved balconies and the style, they give the building a very chic look! Make sure to check out all the neat details and pictures and to download the build on the Gallery if you’re interested!
  
  
• 📸 Thanks to pippagreenhill​ , we are getting a fresh Selfie thread! We all want to see your sims’ best pictures, please share them! So far, Juliet and Terra have been celebrating Halloween showing off their cool tattoos, while Karmine and Celestrix took the time to take a picture during their beautiful alien wedding celebration, and Polly snatched a selfie in her kitchen to immortalise the moment of her trying to become a chef. If you have taken nice or funny selfies recently, this thread is the perfect place to show them off!
