It’s already October, which means we are officially at the best time of the year, Spooky Season 🎃 Have you started decorating yet? Lately I’ve been putting on the Real of Magic and Life and Death soundtracks in the background to create the perfect ghoulish ambiance at home… 🌫️

Let’s see first what you missed this week:

Now let’s jump into the Highlights!

⛺ Let’s kick those off with MVWdeZT who is asking what are your plans for Adventure Awaits now that we know a little more about the pack? This is a great thread to see what others want to do and to get inspiration for your games. A popular choice is to use the expansion pack to make a reality-show type of challenge, similar to the Sul Sul Island contest. Others will make a specific gateway for seniors or horses, a waterpark, a fitness resort, or a camp for kids and families 🤩 The possibilities are endless especially combined with other packs! I think I might try to recreate the famous cat island that is in Japan and create some type of resort for cat lovers. That could turn out to be very cute, or a complete disaster, and I’m eager to find out… What about you, do you already know what you have in mind? Make sure to share in the thread to give some inspiration!
🎵 He was a punk, she did ballet - What more can I say? 🎶 - That’s the song that came into my mind when I first read thefirsttemplar's thread about their terrible couples experiment, which consists in creating two sims who have opposite character traits and shipping them together. Some of the couples include the goth guy dating the cheerful country girl or the super achieving guy with his lazy girlfriend. Those seem to be doing well though and are managing to make things work between each other. However, marital issues have become a problem for the good and generous sim dating an evil materialistic guy as their personalities were eventually deemed not compatible enough. The paranoid girlfriend and her flirty outgoing boyfriend have their ups and downs but so far, so good! It will be interesting to follow the couples’ adventures, especially if some of them end up having kids! Let’s wish them a happily ever after, or a very messy divorce if you thrive on chaos 😈
💢 If you like drama, you will be in for a treat with the newest chapter of the Marsden Farm Challenge by texansky. Sadly, after years of marriage, the unthinkable happened: Casey had an affair with MaryJo, his own sister-in-law, September’s sister 😱 This started after they spend a few nights watching stars together until they could no longer ignore their feelings for each other. September is heartbroken, as is August, as you can imagine. She also caught Casey reading a pregnancy book out of nowhere… that doesn’t sound too good does it? 😬 They had a big fight in front of the other members of the house, and September decided to leave to think things out. On a lighter note, Parker and his horse Beauty won another trophy in the Rachelle Hunting Course, so at least someone in the family had a nice day... I’m very curious to see what happens next and I’m wishing September best of luck to deal with this situation! But after all, what is The Sims without a little bit of extra drama… 🌶️
🏡 For this week's build, sirhc59 is sharing with us a beautiful starter home that will be perfect for any sim starting out without using endless renditions of the motherlode cheat code. And just because it’s a starter home, doesn’t mean that it can’t be fancy! It includes basic amenities such as a kitchen and living room, a bathroom and a bedroom, but that’s not all: your sim will also enjoy the sunshine on the terrace in front of their house, and they can go take a dip in their pool and relax for the rest of the day in their backyard 🌞 The inside is beautifully decorated with splashes of colours that make the little house very welcoming. This could be a perfect place for any sim on a budget or for a lot of challenges. Make sure to take a look and if you’re interested, you can download the build from the Gallery!
💥 Well, it wasn’t planned but it looks like most of the threads this week are embracing chaos, and this last thread is no different: klmikael needs your help to create the worst landlord ever, so feel free to chime in if you have any suggestions. People are recommending using the Evil trait as an obvious choice, as well as Slob so that they will put off cleaning the common areas. A Kleptomanic landlord isn’t ideal either, as well as a landlord who plainly dislikes children. But why stop there, when you can make a landlord use magic to simply freeze any rental revolt? There are more hilarious suggestions so I highly recommend you to go take a look and leave your own if you have any ideas! I have to say, I’m impressed with all the ways players can make the most beautiful and original builds… as well as coming up with the craziest ideas and the most chaotic gameplays. Please never change 😆
