Instead of a potentially interesting game feature to make custom content more accessible to all players, like several other games do, we are clearly getting a disingenuous cash grab. If it were about the players and the sims community, there would not be predatory virtual currency and the "Makers" would not recieve ONLY 30% of sales. This should be offensive to all Simmers.
Since before the buyout I had started focusing on enjoying the packs I already owned, becuse the amount of content was getting insanely overwhelming. I continued with my purchasing hiatus once the change in ownership was announced because I wanted to see how this would effect the future of the game. Decisions like this Martketplace only push me closer to never purchasing any Sims branded content ever again.
I understand that companies need to make money, but they also need to maintain an enjoyable and trustworthy product. If this marketplace was about the players, there would not be virtual currency and the Makers would recieve a much larger cut.
