Blog Post
Hi EA_Solaire ,
At one point, I find the marketplace well thought out. Finally, players and their created content are united on their respective platforms ;)
After that, the good points end, and I see zero inclusion in the game again.
I can't really judge the developers' pay, as I don't know their salaries, nor can I form an opinion on them. Since in rare cases there is no base salary, but rather the salary is often determined by several factors such as bonuses, the overall value significantly influences the compensation. All of this is in EA's hands and outside the scope of what I want to discuss now.
I want to emphasize this point, is that you're talking about a marketplace that grants access to all players. Really, all players!
- I already see the first obstacle... What about people who don't understand English well, or at all?
- What about players who use visual rehab aids? Certainly, modern visual aids can recognize english, but not older models. And not everyone has AI-powered translator glasses, which, moreover, aren't suitable for gaming or for people with visual impairments.
What I'm trying to say is, it would be good if the marketplace were available in the native languages of the major countries.
That would be an important point for me personally, as I work in this field and see how important it is to have accessible internet for people with visual impairments. Only then can you truly say we are all united, alright!
Wishing you all the best for your future endeavors ❤️
Cheers Liz
