The holidays are very special to me, especially Christmas, because it's a time when I get to be with my family and just enjoy each other's company. I grew up in a household where neither of my parents got that Christmas experience or even that feeling you get when December immediately starts. But my mom made it her life mission to make sure my siblings and I had that experience. We really didn't have much, but on Christmas Eve, we had a recycled Christmas tree that we woke up to decorate, then went to the kitchen to help my mom with some Christmas snacks that we all contributed to making the night before. We wake up Christmas morning to presents under the tree, and then the rest of the day, my extended family comes over, and we eat, play games, and talk. This might not be much to most, but for me is one of the best things that my mom has done for my siblings and me. Now that my family and I have moved to a different country, we don't have as much family with us, but my mom does the best that she can, and now that I am a little older, when I have my own family and house, I will be able to do more for my kids, like what my mom did for me. So the holidays are very special to me because I get to enjoy and remember everything that my mom has done for my siblings and me over the year, and just enjoy each other's company with what little we have, and I feel Christmas screams love more than any other holiday ( maybe that's just me). #EASweepstakes
