I guess mine is pretty cliche but, our own family time means everything to each of us, right? To me, the holidays mean sharing traditions, spending time, and making memories with my family. This year looked very different for our family. We did everything the same but, missing people leave holes you can't quite fill with a new tradition. My dad had a stroke last year and moved in with my family the week of Christmas. This year, we lost my mom, very unexpectedly. We considered her a third parent in our family. She lived less than a mile away and was very involved in the lives of my 4 young children. This year, we created a new tradition in her honor. Inspired by "The White Envelope" (grab the tissues and look it up), I did an anonymous act of service that would have made her proud. I wrote about it and shared it with my family as my gift to her this year. I am excited for this tradition to grow and spread the joy that I feel is the true meaning of Christmas in honor of my mom. #EASweepstakes
