Holy crap, Dolby Vision (DV) is finally working again on Mass Effect Andromeda. Since the issue has been related to the NVidia drivers, I've been testing the game every time new drivers dropped. The latest drivers (430.39, RTX 2080 Ti) dropped before the weekend and I gave it a shot. At first my screen didn't trigger making me think it still didn't work but after a quick HDR setting change I realized that it is working again. I play around in the game to be sure and it worked just fine. Right now, the only issue seems to be the screen sometimes not activating DV or not turning off when I exit. But once it does work, it works well.
How about Anthem? Well remember that while Anthem supports DV, they disabled it shortly after launch because of the driver issue. As of the post, they have not turned it back on. Will they? I hope so. It really brings out the colors but it's still to early to say for sure. Remember, BioWare is (for better or worse) doing a lot of work on Anthem. Turning DV back on, and making sure it works, is probably not a priority.
Has for the other frostbyte engine games? As far as I know, DV was never implemented in BFV, or ST:BFII. Battlefield 1 has it, but I have yet to try. Mainly because I was never able to get DV to work even back when it worked perfect on ME:A. Maybe I'll give it a test before the weekend is over but I'm not holding my breath. In the meantime, maybe I'll finally finish ME:A. It's got its problems, but I still think it's under appreciated.
