Sorry, I caught that and edited my original post, but I was too slow. Apparently changing console region was what helped the other person affected.

My console region is US but it still does not work.
My tablet is a Galaxy 10.1, so the screen size is not an issue.
My son has a Kindle with a 7" screen, so it doesn't load the map (likely because Smartglass will only work in portrait mode under on screens under 8"). Loading it on his Kindle was the only reason I knew there was supposed to be a button that says "Enter Boss Mode" That button is simply not there on my tablet.
I thought it was possible it is a problem with Samsung tablets, but from what I can tell (by searching the web) it just isn't working on ANY Android tablets with the correct screen size.

I too cannot get the Smartglass commpanion app to work right. All I get are the current stats of the game and not Boss Mode. I am usuing the Nexus 10 Android 4.4 so screen size is not the issue and my Xbox One is set to the United States so that does nothing to fix the problem as well. Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
- Anonymous12 years agoI'm hearing that it's not compatible with any Android devices. Is that true?
Is EA working on a fix for this? - Anonymous12 years ago
For my family, we have a kindle fire HD and a Galaxy Tab 10.1. When we use the Kindle Fire, Smart Glass brings up boss mode, and it works well. However, when we try to use the Galaxy tab, Boss mode will not come up at all. It say Boss Mode is closed, and you never get the option to use it.

Did you ensure the SmartGlass device is linked to the Xbox One via the IP address of the console?

The guy just said it works fine on his Kindle Fire HD, it sounds like he's fully aware of how to use SmartGlass. It's clearly a problem with Android and either SmartGlass in general or the companion application.
These follow up questions are killing me:
"Have you checked if your tablet is powered on?"
"Are you sure you own an Xbox One?"

If you were asking me if the smartglass is connected to the Xbox, yes it is. We can use smartglass with Plants vs zombies on the Galaxy tab and see the scoreboard to the game. We just can't access Boss Mode. We can use the smartglass in general on both tablets. It is just that the Samsung has this one particular issue.
