Plants 20 or more puff-shrooms and use plant food on one of them basically.

- I'm not certain but i think you are referring to a level in dark ages where you have a line of puff-shrooms on yellow tiles that gradually fade away then you lose.
If you put a plantfood on ONE just before they disappear then they will ALL recover and use their special power.
Just keep on doing that until you finish the level.
