I had the same issue. 

The camera just kept spinning I had nothing in USB.  I was trying to use a wireless Xbox one controller.

I was able to "fix it" by adding it to steam as non-steam app. Controller works perfect now and no spinning camera. 

Did you get the problem sorted @Kitzcrep?

Hey @fogmonk do you have all USB devices removed, this includes things like a Wacom for example.

If so are you using mouse and keyboard to play the game?
