As of now, the only counter I've found is using variant scientists against the herd of Roses.
Captain Deadbeard is a good long rage option against the Rose.
Haven't tried the Camo Ranger, I'll give that a try and see how it works.
That's about it, everything else gets lit up like a christmas tree by all the fire and forget Thistle spam.
