You had all the characters because it was the Anniversary event, where all non-progression characters were unlocked for all players. This event has now ended and your account has reverted back to what it had before the event started.

But I get most of characters through packs. What about the coins I earned? Will it return?
It only took away what you didn't already own. During the event character unlocks were not available, so they were not purchaseable.

The anniversary event was applied to all platforms of Garden Warfare, from Feb 25th or March 5th, players were unfortunately unable to unlock characters, as they were given them all.
