Re: Cant Play PvZ Garden Warfare 2 on PC

I received @Maxis109's dxdiag in a private message.

The main GPU is listed as a Intel HD 520, but further down there is mention of a Geforce 940M. This is a classic example of the Nvidia GPU not switching on in Frostbite 3 games, such as this one.

The aforementioned method of switching on the right GPU should ordinarily work in this case. Go to the Nvidia control panel (you find this option by right clicking the desktop), then go to 'manage 3D settings' and make sure the Nvidia GPU is preferred. Like so:

Can you instruct me on how to get to the NVIDA control panel? I have been looking but I cant find how to get there.

I've got the same problem and I cant install NVIDIA. My computer is a HP and purchased at Christmas. I don't know how to fix it.

Read what he wrote, particularly right there.

The odds are that there is nothing you can do.  But until you do your own part and provide the full information, as requested of the OP here (have you read the thread?), no one can either confirm my estimate or offer something better.

Here's what Fred suggested to him:

It would also be very useful if you could post a dxdiag report:

    Spoiler

    1.  Press and hold the Windows key and the letter R on your keyboard
    2.  You will see a Run box in the lower-left corner of your screen
    3.  Type dxdiag in the text field
    4.  Click OK
    5.  If your computer has a 64-bit version of Windows, click the button Run 64-bit DXDIAG (see screenshot below)
    6.  If your computer has a 32-bit version of Windows, that button will not be available

    7.  Click the Save All Information button, found on the bottom of the DXDIAG report
    8.  Save this text file to your Desktop if possible
    9. Open the text file, select all the text inside (Ctrl + A) and copy it (Ctrl +C).
    10. Go to http://hastebin.com/, paste the contents of your DXDiag inside (Ctrl+V) and click Save on the webpage (Ctrl+S).
    11. Copy the link of the page in your post, along with a precise description of your issue.

Really I have no idea what I am doing and I shouldn't have bothered anyone. Sorry

Everyone has to start somewhere.  I do draw the line short of teaching Introduction to PCs 101.  I taught enough of that before I retired.
