@temocil  If you know you're going to lose your internet connection but have one at the moment, you can sign into Origin and put it in offline mode, then just let it run in the background or minimized until you're ready to launch a game.  I realize this isn't ideal, but it definitely works.

What probably works (but I don't know if the Steam deck is special) is trying to launch a game from its .exe.  Normally, this will open the Origin login screen, and once you enter your username and password, the game will load.  Even if Origin itself doesn't fully load while offline, it should have stored your credentials and validate your account's ownership of the game enough for it to work.

You're probably aware, but make sure you're not using cloud saving if you want to play while offline, since you obviously wouldn't be able to sync without a connection.
