Re: Please nerf the bounty hunt grind strat, especially the solar sisters.

I've never grinded any bounty hunts, in fact some of them were hard enough to get done once. I have plenty of money, all my plants mastered, and all regions to 100%. Now I'm working on leveling up zombies. Only thing left is to repeat stuff or pvp. I like to play solo pve to be honest. Right now my interest in the game has dropped because there's not much to do in the areas I prefer to play. I get bored in pvp, I'm not interested in grinding for the sake of grinding. I am at the point where I want to do something fun and if it means doing bounties.. Solo.. Then who cares? I shouldn't get punished for replaying something I enjoy because somebody else isn't getting money/xp/cosmetic swag at the same rate.

There should be faster ways of achieving things bc we don't all have the same amount of play time. If I work a full time job, have kids, school, etc and I get a couple hours a week to play. There is NO way I'd ever catch up (if that's your main complaint) to any other player who has a lot of time to play. I think the bounties are fine. I think the devs need to focus on other issues like not letting us choose a side without penalty when we do play TT, balancing, bugs and glitches, pc issues, etc.

Just my 2 cents.

The fact that people are willing to grind for hours shows that the alternative (doing challenges) is inefficient.

The math doesn't add up. Unless someone plays for more than 3+ hours a day at this game, how are they even supposed to complete the 42 rewards?

Give us a fun and reasonable way of achieving what others are doing through grinding, and the grinding won't happen.

  • Umm. I havent grinded at all, and i have 100%ed everything up to the last page. Im working on that rn. About to get the Insecto Brains.

The other things arent innefficient, the grind strat is just too efficient. As i have said, we have 5 weeks to do the event. Anyone who does the event legitimately should have it done around week 3-4, as i am going to soon. However, people finished on the second day via bounty hunts.

If the other strats were innefficient, it would mean it is not possible to do the event before it runs out. This is not the case, we can easily do it.

But i do see what your thinking. Thanks for the response

@xianah78 Not gonna lie, youve got a pretty solid point there. I agree there should be faster ways, perhaps make everything a bit faster, or reauire less XP per orb.

I just feel that the Bounty grind is way too fast compared to other things...

On the counter argument... regardless of how much time you have for the game, you DO have 5 weeks to do it...

1 - If you want to eliminate a problem, remove the motivation behind it. Challenges can be absurdly grindy, like killing 75 vase weeds. I thought the game was aimed at a wider audience, including families. Some of these challenges narrow down the spectrum of people who can get orbs.

2 - How is someone obtaining a cosmetic faster than you hurting the game? On top of that, it's an option that anyone can use. It's not restricted and it's not an exploit. I can carry a couple of young ones through bounties, I can't help them get a 5 revive streak or 75 random spawns. Should I tell them they don't get to have the Halloween teddy skin because they're not good enough? If anything, excluding people due to ability or age from getting this stuff would hurt the game more than what you're claiming right now.

It's a game that's specifically meant to also be enjoyed by families. The "I'm better at the game/can play longer than you so I deserve more" logic shouldn't apply. That's World of Warcraft.

  • @SaduhemI agree that the challenges can be tedious and too difficult for young ones (especially kill 75 of this certain spawn). I’m glad they let you re-roll and it doesn’t cost anything to re-roll. I like challenges, because it lets people who are busy be able to play a couple of hours and get bulbs. They should make the challenges more family-friendly. The XP bulb shouldn’t be 15k and more like 10k.

If the bounty hunt really becomes a problem for the community, then easily making the first completion prize huge and nice and then every redo being less and less would be ok. It’s not an exploit and if this idea is an improvement for the game, i would go for it.

A combination of all of these should fix the battle pass problem for all. This problem is more than just the bounty hunt and more on the whole battle pass bulb earnings.
