You really are quite passionate, I’ll give you that.
Barrel of Barrels allows one trade, on average, for the “cost” of one brain (and zero cards, but a “meh” conjure on average). Sometimes you trade up, big time, and it seems broken. Sometimes you would have traded anyway. Sometimes your zombie dies and you lose the opportunity to trade. In that case, playing removal would have been better.
In any case, you increase the amount of damage output you deal, on average, by zero.
I think strike through is a slightly more valuable ability than deadly (on average) b/c of damage dealt to players. So if sun strike affected one plant, one or probably two sun would be a fair cost. Affecting all plants skyrockets its poteniltial, making four sun relatively cheap.
I see you boasting on other posts about your stars past 50. Why do you need a new, strong, super-rare that many plant players are currently raving about to be even better than it is?
A better comparison for sun strike is going viral, by the way. “Going” costs three but doesn’t garuntee damage like Strike does and clutters your deck with same. Also, I’ve said it before but I’ll argue again, Zombies should always have a slight edge in the trick department because there is an opportunity cost to playing zombie tricks. A zombie player cannot react to changes in circumstances and decide to play zombies instead.
Plants should always be able to match or better zombies... and I believe they do, especially at higher costs.
Finally, can we both agree to stop making arguments based on best possible scenarios for cards? Do you know how many games your opponent has conceded with four dead barrels in hand? No. You do not. Average utility is a much better metric.
