@JBlazzyy Start by just uninstalling the Nvidia drivers.
- Anonymous8 years agoSo I uninstalled my Nvidia Drivers and reinstalled the latest version, but I'm still getting the Display attached to an nvidia gpu error when I try to access the Nvidia Control Panel ☹️

@JBlazzyy, In that case, you will need to disable the onboard graphics in device manager.

@JBlazzyy Try these steps but if after this it still isn't working you may have to contact Nvidia or the support for the laptop.
- Right-click the Start button.
-
Click Device Manager.
- Double-click Display adapters.
-
Double-click your NVIDIA graphics card.
- Click the Driver tab at the top of the window.
-
Click the Update Driver button.
- Click Search automatically for updated driver software. Windows will search for and download a driver.
-
Click Close when the download and install is complete.
- Click the X in the top right corner of the Device Manager window.
-
Click Yes to restart your computer.

@EA_DarkoIt didn't download any drivers cause i have the newest nvidia driver - which was released 2 days ago on wednesday - and when i closed the device manager i didnt get prompted to restart my computer. Also maybe i should've mentioned this earlier but I'm on a desktop, not a laptop :/ I'm guessing I made you assume i was on a laptop with the "Ctrl + Fn + Esc" thing i said, but i should've mentioned that since I'm on Desktop I only have to press "Ctrl+Esc"

@JBlazzyy Would be the same for laptop or PC. You said you were having issues with other games and I'm thinking it may be a case that all games are running on the integrated card. The best thing to do is ensure that your Nvidia GPU is working and I know this may sound odd but also ensure that it is properly connected.
- Anonymous8 years ago@EA_Darko when I bought the PC it came pre-built and everything inside was put together well and secured for delivery by bubble wrap and whatnot, so it surely is properly connected but ill still check
- Anonymous8 years ago@EA_Darko everything seems to be connected properly. My friend is also suggesting to change the drivers in BIOS. Should i try that?

@JBlazzyy If you know how to do it or have a little help then it is an option.
- Anonymous8 years agoi just don't know what to do anymore I've tried everything I've been told to do except for contacting the companies for help but who do I contact Nvidia Intel or Gigabyte -_-
- Anonymous8 years ago
@EA_Darko I might have found my solution! huzzah! I contacted Nvidia Via Live Chat, and According to them my problem resides in the fact that my monitor is connected to my PC with a VGA cable that goes to my motherboard, Instead of being connected through DVI to my Nvidia GPU. Tomorrow I will get a DVI Cable and plug my monitor that way instead and see if it fixes my problem of not being able to access the Nvidia Control panel. I'll let you know as soon as i can.

Ah brilliantly, I actually thought about that earlier but figured it couldn't be something so simple. Sometime it really is the most simple of solutions at times. - Anonymous8 years ago@EA_Darko Occam's Razor ;P I'll get the cable tomorrow after work. Should have it by 5Pm GMT

@JBlazzyy Let me know how you get on, fingers crossed.
- Anonymous8 years ago@EA_Darko Do you know if it Will/Should fix my fps problem/s with other games too? Because i should be able to run a lot of games with good framerates on good graphical settings but i usually have to drop to the lowest settings possible or play on a low, 4:3 resolution.

@JBlazzyy Using the Nvidia card should see a big increase in performance for all games.
- Anonymous8 years ago@EA_Darko sweet. Also there will be some complications and i wont be able to get the DVI Cable until later in the evening. I'll still let you know once i got it 🙂

@JBlazzyyHopefully it'll all be good/

@EA_Darko Success! it works, I can now access the Nvidia Control Panel. Now, i don't think i need to do the whole selecting thing but is there anything in the global settings i should change? I'll attach some images of the current 3D global settings 🙂
- Anonymous8 years ago@EA_Darko the games work like a charm! I didn't think a single cable could change so much. Thank you so much for your help & support, despite the multiple obstacles in our path & your determination to solve the problem, you've helped a ton. Thanks again 🙂
