  • @EA_Atic So what I've learned from the sound glitch is that it happens with high latency, for some reason my multiplayer games have been automatically set to East Coast servers, when I live in West Coast. But if you were still wondering about my settings, I went to Audio Output settings and my primary output port is HDMI Out and my Audio format is "Linear PCM" (which I have no idea what that means lol) but my sound just comes from my TV or when I have my headset on. I dont have any addition equipment. And the choppy sound stops when I go to my correct server which is west coast.

Ahh okay, so when you are having network delays it thanks to the distance of the connection is when you get the sound issue. @JRsmooth729

From the sound of it, its solved. 🙂

@EA_Atic That is not the case here. Before November patch even when I joined a game with a high ping, obviously I would have delay in gameplay but the sound was fine. But after November patch on ps4, I get distorted, broken sound even my session is not in high latency. Whenever there are many things happening on the screen, sound got broken. I made a post about this problem, you can also check out my video.
  • Sad that the distorted sound on PS4 is still not fixed. I can confirm that it was introduced by the patch at the end of October. It has also been reported on Reddit and can be heard when you watch PS4 gameplay on Youtube.

It can happen in any mode, also in the singleplayer areas, when a lot of action is going on. As expected, the issue became worse again with the return to 12 vs 12.

Here is an example I recorded today: https://streamable.com/q9q4z
