@Anini23im pretty sure the camera is permanently set on the right side because the characters hold their guns on the right. Citron, allstar, foot soldier, for example, wouldn't function too well. You might have someone lined up in you crosshairs around a corner (on your right side) but your gun will be in the wall. Youd have to expose your entire body to let your character hit the guy (kinda making the whole shoulder view swap thing kinda useless).

This is likely true, but it would still be nice to have. Peeking around corners to see if enemies are around is useful. If the shoulder view swap was like the one in Star Wars Battlefront II (2017), then it would be a delight to use.
One can only dream.
The camera view will probably not change. As they wrote above. This option would require you to change almost anything when it comes to view. Adding this option could be useful, but you can get used to what is now. 😉
- @CapitanRoyon I wonder how it would feel to play this game in first person perspective. Imp Kata on a new level 😁
- @ippig I feel sick just imagining it!!!
- @ToastedSarnie Me too! Motion sickness at its best.

Far less people trying to corner shot, etc... used to love it.
That said, Impkata would be a close-eye moment for me!
This would benefit me in one situation. The mech stomps with his left foot, drives me crazy.
- @spIash_damage It could actually be fun to play in first person due to the reasons you've pointed out. However many players do complain about BfN being much of an Overwatch clone when the game launched. Playing now in first person could be that one step too close to the Blizzard game.
Anyway, to keep the Imp Kata still enjoyable a simple switch to a third person perspective once the ability is activated would do the trick I guess. Compared to other TPS games, PvZ:bfn is unusual about this.
can't switch L/R -PvZ:bfn
can switch L/R - PUBG, Ghost Recon, MGSV:TPP, Death Stranding, SWBF, World War Z etc...
There are many advantages to switch L/R.
Please consider my request.
