XBOX gamepass is not working with EA

I have xbox gamepass and I can't even get the game even though its on the xbox gamepass 

im on pc and through xbox game pass i could get pvz gw2 and i believe any other game on the gamepass that also goes through EA... but my friends are having problems with this like they have to pay full price for the same games and they say there xbox acount is linked so we don't know what to do. (they were to lazy so i had to write the forum for them)
