The issue does NOT occur on my Via Envy HD audio device (onbaord gigabyte z77x-ud3h) sound

But, the issue DOES occur on a g35 logitech headset running most updated logitec gaming software (virtualized 7.1), using the recommended sound settings (cd quality), it's intermittent, the sound skips, "speeds up" , crackles and warps, like all the sound channels have lost sync. Then randomly, it syncs back up and works OK, until it occurs again.
