(EA APP) Controller not working on PvZ GW2

Question

Hello,
I am struggling to get a controller working on PvZ GW2 for the PC
I have tried using a Xbox Series X controller and an Xbox One controller both wired and wireless to no avail.
I have also tried restarting my game and PC too.
Whenever I try to turn my camera it rapidly shoots around the screen, spinning really fast.
Walking also randomly causes emotes to play as well as some of the buttons doing the wrong things such as the B button jumping and the RT (Shoot) button causing emotes to play.

Any help will be appreciated&nbsp;

EDIT: After more testing, opening the onscreen keyboard makes the controls work normally but its unreasonable to be able to play with a keyboard covering half of my screen

I also cannot find any other people having this problem which makes this infinitely more frustrating as I have no idea how to fix this as most people are on the Steam version.

Hi @pegle2004, Are you playing through Steam or the EA app?

what you need to do is go into controller settings on steam and map each button to the right thing like set a as the button a
