Hi @kristieandraul - I moved your posts & changed the title, since you replied to older threads with outdated information.

The best way to submit your proof of age and get your child account upgraded to an adult account is to submit an Account Support Request through SimCity BuildIt. Choose "Account Management" as the request type. Provide your email, player id, and explain that your account is incorrectly flagged as a child account. You can attach proof of age here as well.

You should receive an email reply in a couple of days, but it may take longer for them to verify the proof of age. Be aware, with the current pandemic issues, it could take some additional time.

    How do we add proof of age? I want to do global trade and clubs.

    Hi @SMG_Cambod - I moved your post to the relevant thread. 

    If you entered your birthdate correctly when you set up your account, you'll get a pop-up notice to "age up" your account once you're able to have a full access account in your country. More info here: https://help.ea.com/en/help/account/aging-up-an-origin-account-to-an-adult-account/

    If you entered the wrong birthdate and have a child account, you'll need to provide proof of age to EA. Instructions on how to do that are in the accepted solution of this thread.

    I have gone through the process, submitted requested info, followed up, followed up, followed up... requested to speak with a manager twice. I have not been contacted. My requests have been marked as resolved yet my account is still in child mode.

    It has been 3 months and still this issue hasn't been resolved. This is beyond ridiculous! Time to delete the game.

    @Die-Z-Bart-Die  Make sure your game is saved and then remove and upload the SimCity Buildit app and the first thing you’re asked is age. Go through the tutorial until it states you’re on your own and then select your city and you should be fine. Lookup how to load my city and read through it before starting the process. Good luck.

    Thanks you PinnacleValley. I have tried to do this so many times... fund out that you can't save a child account so I can't delete it. It's a stoopid mess!

    @Die-Z-Bart-Die - You are correct - a child account has no way to back up the city online. I'm not certain if the city/data gets uninstalled if you uninstall the game, but it does seem likely. If you can't get the account age corrected, your only other recourse would be to start over with a new account and enter your proper birthdate when asked. Then you can link it to an online social account. (or alternatively, wait until your account ages up https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/account/online-access-for-child-accounts/#agerequirements)

    Was your request through the EA help team, or the SCBI team? SimCity BuildIt account issues are handled through the SCBI team, although I would have expected EA to forward the request. Which help team did you place these requests? And is your user name the same as your forum user name? If you can give me a little more info, I might be able to get someone to look into the case for you.

    @BlackjackWidow Thanks so much for the feedback. I have been in contact with both. I was redirected to the SCBI team. My current request # is 599324. My username is not the same but I can provide an ID if that helps? It has been over 3 months now and no one has moved to fix this. If it doesn't get resolved, I will delete my account. I'm not starting again. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

    @Die-Z-Bart-Die - No promises, but I have passed along the info. 🤞 It will probably be necessary to know what Account Name you filed the reports under

  • @EA_Kent Can I direct message you the same thing. We have been trying for months and I don't want to lose my city but can't do anything due to dob verification.
