SOLVED

For everyone having this Problem as well:

Make sure you have the latest Drivers (Sound and Graphics),

check you're on the latest Version of Windows 10,

run the game as an Administrator and

flush your DNS Cache.

If the Option "Dolby Atmos" is greyed out inside the game, make sure you're sending Audio through HDMI.

Also Change your Audio Resolution to 48Khz 16 bit (don't know why that's necesary).

Hope I could help someone with these tips.

It doesn't work for me with 16-bit 48 Khz audio settings but it does with 24-bit 48 Khz.

    Go figure.

  • I have tried both 48khz 16bit and 48khz 24bit, but still no Dolby Atmos option selectable. I find it strange seeing as I am able to get Dolby Atmos on other games that support it.

What are the other games where Dolby Atmos can be used? Just curious.

I am sure @mrjapa, you can Google this 😉

I do enjoy a good sound quality myself, and it can be hard to set it up and running with a lot of custom options. But the real Star Wars masterpiece sound right in your home is totally worth it.

    Have fun playing Battlefront!

    Cheers,

    Archi

  • Do you know if Battlefield 1 will also make use of Atmos?

Sorry @MikelG00, but no official info was released on this issue so far. I do hope it will support Atmos, if not at the start, then maybe a few patches later. The sound in BF1 is awesome!  And shooters are the best way to experience Dolby Atmos.

    Cheers,

    Archi

@EA_Archi Actually I did and the only game that I found to be Dolby Atmos-capable was Star Wars Battlefront. There's other game, Overwatch, but Atmos is limited to headphones.

I tried both 48hz for 16 bit and 24 and still no sound
Its only worked with me like pcm 5.1 with just option surrounding ut while i choose dolby atmo. No sound but my sound system reading dolby 5.1 input and output dolby hd 5.1 but without any sound .
    Anyone find another solution ?

I expect, your sound system is supporting Atmos and is connected over HDMI.

I was told by the EA Chat Support that I had to flush my DNS cache for some reasons.

It's best if you ask the Support Chat yourself for the exact instructions on what to do, because I'm not entirely sure.

Right now, Atmos works on my system.

@MikelG00 Like i don't understand why flushing the DNS cache could solve Atmos problem... What are the manipulations to do please ?
