Hotas 4 for PS4 is Total Junk

We bought a couple of the Hotas 4 sticks for the PS4 in anticipation of the game. After only a few days of use, the first one started jittering to the point the game was unplayable. So I switched sticks with dad, who wasn’t playing as much. 3-4 days later, the exact same problem starts. Pull the stick back and nothing happens, and it jitters all over the place. There is no way to calibrate the stick on PS4. Thought people who play squadrons should know about the extreme disappointment in these Hotas sticks. So far, they are about as reliable as a Korean made car. If you’re thinking about buying one, be warned that they are cheaply made, and these had a life of about 3-4 days each. These were the ThrustMaster Hotas 4. We’ve reached out to the company for replacements. We have yet to hear back. Was great immersion for about a week. It’s really a shame that we got the Hotas support for the game on PS4, and the only equipment we can use on PS4 is junk rated. They also jacked up the price on amazon from $79 to $250. That’s pretty disgusting. Don’t get scammed.

  • Yeah - thats what you get for playing console sorry.

Console developers expect you to play with a controller.
A steering wheel is the exception.

AND FOR SOME STUPID REASON... consoles dont support USB so you cant use any periphery you want (should though).

So consoles are stuck with controllers or wheels and crap quality everything else.

  • Um... What's wrong with Korean cars?

Can't speak for the Hotas 4 but I've driven Kia's and Hyundai cars and they were both great little motors.

Aside from the transmission blowing out at 56k, and bulbs for reverse lights and brake lights that required replacement every month, the motor was fine. Unfortunately, the car overall was not. I won’t buy another KIA, or another Thrustmaster product. Both for the same reasons.

  • @GRDNANGL172although the ps4 HOTAS is cheaply made, some works fine as i know. you just had bad luck.
if you want to use better quality HOTAS product on PS4, which are mostly in PC platform, you`d need 3rd party adaptor to do that.
try search "cronus max" and "reasnow"
