np, there is a easy fix, download and install Visual C++ files from microsoft website, download and install both x64 and x86 version

First download and install Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019 both x86 and x64, restart your PC and launch the game.

If not resolved download and install Visual Studio 2013 both x64 and x86 version  restart your PC and launch the game.

    1) Go to the STAR WARS Squadrons folder, open Installer folder, then open VC folder and run all of the vcredist files as an Administrator present on vc2013 and 2015 , restart your PC and launch the game

    2) Repair the game files in Origin or Steam, restart your PC and launch the game
    3) Run DISM command in powershell windows, make a right click on Windows 10 start menu, click on Windows Powershell Admin and run the below command:

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

Once scan is complete restart your PC and launch the game

    4) Nothing works uninstall and reinstall the game

I see that problem now, there are many files and folder missing in your screenshot, here is my screenshot, the core, installer folder is missing. You need to uninstall the game, delete the game folder after uninstallation, restart your PC and reinstall the game

You downloaded the 31 GB game in few minutes, are you sure you uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Contact EA support

  • yeah for me the game is 26.31GB, maybe it's because yours is in a diferent platform as mine is, mine is in steam. and sure i'll contact them tanks anyways!

  • @lolly1003 @lolly1003 Hi there, so i check the capture that you send and i still have the same problem as the other person. i was wondering what might be the problem. It give me this (Game Security Violation Detected (#0000000D) [LightingService.exe]
  • Make a right click on the taskbar and open task manager, find lighting service (or any RGB service running) in the list, select it and click on end task.

  • I dont get the error anymore, but the splash screen dissapears and the game still fails to load.

Ok so ive fixed the issue, i uninstalled easy cheat service and reinstalled it - repairing it didnt do anything.

This is how i fixed my issue.  Completely uninstalled all the redistributables, rebooted, reinstalled them all, that removed the error message but still wouldnt load, then completely uninstalled easy cheat and reinstalled, game has fired up successfully.

  • Hi all, if you're getting the famous LightingService.exe error. This is because stupid EasyCheat believes that your Asus/Logitech service is a security hazard. EasyCheat needs to be corrected by the developers. This is a simple fix by going into your services and ending the task. Please see attached screenshot. The game will boot up immediately after that. Thanks!
