Abysmal Xbox Series X Load Times

So the next gen consoles are beyond braggadocios about their "nonexistent load times". I beg to differ. First planet - died to the nasty frog monster thing. JUST to respawn to the same area after death - load times greater than 60 seconds, consistently.

This is NOT what was advertised. I can play the same game, at higher fidelity, on my PC and actually GET near zero to nonexistent load times and this is while I have dozens of other processes running in the background. Now here we have a device that is designed to do one thing - play games - and it does it so much less efficiently. How is this possible?

I just wanted something different - be able to kick back on the big screen w/ surround sound. I shouldn't have a vastly superior experience wearing headphones and a 27" screen... especially when I just dropped 500 on a system that was supposed to be all about the gaming experience. I now have zero desire to play this game if I have to take a pee break every time I die.

If I see this in other games, this console will hit Ebay shortly.

  • What this gentleman is trying to say is that Fallen Order has abnormally long loading times on the xbox series S/X. Installed on the internal SSD, reloading after getting killed by one of the first enemies in a relatively small zone takes over a minute, despite other games showing vast loading times improvements.

    If you could find the cause of this and fix this, that would be nice, thanks.
