- I also hate competatve online, i am * at it so its not fun. i bought BF1 when it was released amd have only ever played the game for 1 hour cos it is online multiplater oriented. That was a waste of money. I was hoping their claims of adding offline single played stuff would actually be true. Thanks for the heads up guys. i think ill canel my preorder
Thanx for all the replies.
I would love to hear a DICE dev actually reply to this, or at least explain themselves and respond to what so many people want...and aren't getting from DICE.
If this game doesn't include all modes available offline at launch or post launch I'm not buying.
DICE/EA: Can anyone respond????
- Anonymous8 years agoI want to play this game for as long as I like. Skirmish is the difference between being able to play this game for 2 years or 20 years. DICE only cares about the money, they don't care about longevity of their Games 2+ years.
The other day a DICE employee mentioned adding this....if there is a demand for it, or what they call "community feedback". Which, clearly there is if you read these forums (and posts from the Beta forums that are gone now) and watch some Youtube video's discussing it. It is obvious there is a disconnect between DICE and its consumers, other wise they wouldn't even have to say "if", because they would already know that people want it.

After having the game now, Arcade mode is confirmed to NOT be what we wanted. Its not theENTIRE multiplayer game with bots like we wanted. It's a glorified challenge or time challenge mode, like the garbage they put in the Batman Arkham games that I have no desire to play, ever. That's all. And, you can't play it with someone online, it's split-screen only. So, for me, it has zero value. The only people I would know who have this game live far away, as in other states.
No, Skimish is, I will say it again, NOT what was wanted either. Neither is Arcade.
To be able to play the entire multiplayer experience, ALL of it, but against bots offline or co-op is what was and is wanted. Not Skimish. Skimish was still too limited, and Arcade is just time/challenge modes.
NOT what was wanted.
- Yes. Completely agree. Arcade is definitely a step in the right direction however, seeing as you can make custom games in that (thank god). But it is terribly limited having only small parts of 6 maps, and 2 modes, 1 of which I never use. It really disappointing because even with only this to give, I still play the custom arcade mode regularly, because that's what I want to play in battlefront. I only go to online because it has the other modes and maps. I'm desperately hoping they fix this, because its a great game, and I want to love it.
Let's put it this way. If I don't want to purchase a PlayStation Plus membership for 60 dollars, what am I left with? I got bored of the game in less than a day. (luckily I did redbox). If the ENTIRE game was available to people who don't want to continuously pay Sony $60 every year, then if would be worth the money. EA won't listen. Hopefully, Disney will though. I, and I'm sure other fans too, am starting to associate Star Wars with greed and predatory business practices, thanks to EA, and Disney allowing EA's rights to Star Wars to persist. Please change this, Disney.
