Developer stated today that they have "no plans for DLC" and I'm hoping that it means they didn't plan on it but are still open to the idea of it. I've been waiting for a game like this since the 90's (X-Wing series) and I would gladly pay for more content. I also hate that this article broke today as it might stop new players from jumping in and existing players from losing interest faster. I absolutely LOVE this game and I hope there's a large enough community to condone a change of heart from Motive.Anyway, thoughts?

I would happily spend 10-15 bucks for a new ship for each team, and 3 new missions each that feature them.allow the new ships to be played in training for those that haven't purchased.also, I'd pay like 25 bucks for an entirely new faction (Scum and Villainy, like in the table top game.)

Well youngin back in the golden days of gaming this awful acronym of dlc did not exist. Instead the game you bought was all you got and it was great. If the game was worthy then about a year or so later they would sell an expansion pack that would provide about 50% more game play. Gamers were ok with this and loved it.So they should sit back and watch, gather info to see where they can improve the game. Then decide to either release an expansion pack or start working SWSII.

@RW_MacCurrich Are you perhaps referring to FFG’s X-Wing?

I think its ok to add expansions with new Missions, Maps and Starfighters. Whether EA going to do it remains to be seen.

I feel it works great, and the servers handled the new player load. This might be one of the smoothest game launches I've ever experienced. Also you can continue to balance and "fix" a game AND have plans for future content at the same time.

@sketchsawyerPSN I agree the servers handled the amount of players well, but a cursory glance through the bug report forum would show that there are serious issues affecting a number of players in different ways that needs fixing urgently. Not all of them are relevant to everyone, but the issues are still there.

If it’s a case of diverting resources away from fixing the bugs to considering future developments I’d argue that would be a mistake.
