having this same issue now that I got the latest update, met with black screen,. screen flashes a few times, see mouse pointer, can hear backgrounds sounds but stuck on black screen, tried all the above that applied to me.. no go. uninstalled my 388.43 Nvidia drivers with Display Driver Uninstaller and reinstalled them fresh.. no go, issue remains.
