Getting an Intel Driver Error for Battlefront 2
I have just purchased Battlefront 2 (through Origin) and I came across an error message that I'm not quite sure what to do about it except google frantically and get frustrated by the lack of answers I am finding. The error is as follows:
"Detected Intel driver version #1 24.21.13.9882 07/30/2018 00:00:00 #2 21.20.16.4550 11/11/2016 00:00:00 . The recommended driver version is xx.xx.15.48 or later. Please update your drivers at http://downloadcenter.intel.com/ before playing the game.
Do you want to try and run the game anyway? There may be stability, performance or visual corruption issues."
I am on an ASUS X550V Laptop that I keep up to date as best I can:
Graphics: NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 950M, w/ Intel Driver is an i7-6700HQ up to 3.5GHz.
Memory: 8GB
OS: Windows 10
HDD 1TB
1) I have hit Okay on that error message: The game starts to load in the title screen, then just crashes with no noises or error messages.
2) I have disabled the Intel driver: The game loads to the main menu, however everything I am seeing is heavily slowed as if in slow motion and there is no constant audio, and CPU usage is at 100%.
3) I have disabled the NVIDIA Driver, the error message reappears and the same result as #1.
I have not yet attempted to uninstall and reinstall the game, as with my download speed it would take roughly 12 hours. If anyone with any knowledge of this problem can help please let me know what I can do to alleviate this issue or if it can be alleviated.
Firstly, you do not want to disable your NVIDIA drivers, they are the ones you do want to use.
