Re: Where is the fun in SWTOR?

I'd like to add that as a returning player, these 4.x things completely destroy the immersion I had with 2.0 through to 3.x:

- all quests stay yellow, meaning you quickly outlevel any planet you're on due to quest xp, meaning you quickly 1 and 2-shot mobs completely removing any sense of challenge of any fight

- companions make this problem worse as it has become impossible to die on any planet, even against Champion mobs

- flashpoints and heroics are no longer tuned, and either require no group work at all (all Heroics can be soloed with a companion), or bolster results in spiked boss abilities that are impossible to beat (eg. Hasper in Taral V)

- solo flashpoints do not encourage group play, needed to form guilds to tackle hardmode Ops. New players have to be trained from scratch at max level, which is an opportunity the game missed.

- the rewards from flashpoints and heroics are thrown at the player without being able to upgrade them or listen to the story

- the superfast flashpoint xp leads the bolster to bolst inferior gear leading to unequal difficulty between players of the same group fast, leading to a quick quitting since there is no valuable goal

In short, levelling has become an unchallenging, uncontrollable, unrewarding experience in SWTOR 4.x.

Additionally, for preferred status players:

- escrows like 600k are now wrongly priced in CC, given the current inflation of the economy. 1000 CC = 10M credits, meaning 240 CC = 2,4M credits for a 600k credits escrow transfer. Needless to say, you're better off not buying escrows anymore.
