OK I'm upset with customer service.
I purchased a dye to apply to my new outfit (Dark Harbinger) and could not figure out how to apply the dye to the outfit. I accidentally deleted the dye I guess, it disappeared from my inventory. A GM took ~24 hours to respond to my ticket asking for help. I made it very clear that I want to apply it to the Dark Harbinger outfit that I just purchased, the GM suggested that instead I apply it to my low level gear. I asked if that would apply it to my new outfit and if I would lose the dye if I replaced my armor, The GM assured me that it would work and asked if I could log out so they can do it for me. I was 2 kills away from completing my heroic quest when I agreed to log out. Logged back in and my character was in a new place that I've never been before, my newly purchased outfit was still not dyed, my XP boost and stim had expired, and I couldn't get back to my mission because the item was still on cool down. Then the GM just closed my ticket without bothering to check in with me. I would like to ask for help in regaining access to my old SWTOR account. I haven't logged in for a long time (maybe since 2016) and unfortunately I no longer have access to the email address associated with the account. So.... I have to be a subscriber and IN the game to get Help on Why my game does not run after this last update ?? How exactly do I get in the game when the game won't launch? It's PC ... since it's May 4th figured I would pop on. have not played in many months. The game updated. Launched the game. It Hung right after in initial screen with the guy staring back you, right after you activate ' Play '. Complete freeze. Task manager to end. Closed the computer, did complete restart. Launched. Game Froze again. This time I let it run to see if it was still loading something. Took a nap. somewhat over an hour later, no change. Complete uninstall of the game and went in and deleted all files left over. Shut down computer. Restart. Download from website ( this is NOT Steam) Installed. Updated. Started the game. Hit " Play " initial screen then all the several company recognition screens. And then .... The screen went COMPLETELY BLACK. waited for quite awhile. task manager to end program. Shut down computer. Restart computer. Launch game. Hit play. First screen freezes again. checked firewall. made sure SWTOR.exe and launcher are allowed through. Turned off firewall completely. launched game. I had an account with Star Wars: The Old Republic. The last email I received from them was in April of 2024. I went to log into it again today as a friend wanted to play. I couldn't remember my password, and when I went to reset the password, the email never came to the email I created it with. This has led to me being unable to use my steam account to log into SWTOR, and I can't reset my password either. I'm certain that at some point between the last email being sent, and trying to reset my password, another person must have logged in and changed the email associated with the account. Game worked yesterday. NVidia update last night. Three other games all work fine. SWTOR puts my monitor into sleep mode. I can sign into the launcher via steam, hit play, then black screen for about 3 seconds and sleep. I don't care whose fault it is i just want a solution. So you have pressed play and the game isn't starting correctly. Here are some common symptoms and solutions: Game appears in taskbar, or appears as a sliver on screen, or alters windows resolution or is stuck at the initial loading screen First thing to try is simply pressing ALT + Enter keys (twice can be needed) , if this brings the game back, go into preferences and set the resolution settings again. Game flashes black screen and closes or is stuck at the initial loading screen, or game goes not responding Press the [Windows] Key + [R] at the same time Copy the following in to the text box and press ok %localappdata%\swtor\swtor\settings Open the client_settings.ini file in notepad and ensure the following are displayed within the [Renderer] section Fullscreen = false D3DFullScreen = false RefreshRate = 60 Check NativeHeight, NativeWidth, Height and Width ( all 4 ) match your monitor resolution. Save and close the file. Start the game as normal. Change graphic settings within the game as desired. If it is file related then a repair will usually sort it, details to repair are Non-Streaming launcher - Log into the launcher but don't click Play. With the new launcher after login , select the username pulldown on the top right and select settings, then press repair. (repair is only available if an issue is detected) If your Launcher is via Steam: See this link for directions Screen is displaying a solid color before or at the character select screen Press ALT + Enter first to switch to window mode and back to fullscreen Recently Upgraded or Installed Windows and never played before on this computer Install this particular Direct X Redist and ensure the video drivers are up to date. If the above doesn't help If that doesn't help you can try a Clean Boot. If that works re-enable one thing at a time to find the conflict. Next, you will of course want to remove and re-add both launcher.exe and swtor.exe to the AV and Firewall exception lists as sometimes after a patch the exceptions fail due to the file change.
