Buying expansions in SWTOR

So last year I bought all of the expansions for swtor on amazon for $40 and now that KOTET has come out I can't find a solo expansion for sale, and I don't want to spend another $40 on the same item just to get KOTET, if instead I buy a subscription will I get KOTET forever also
