@cybersteel014 it did work, I can play on Steam no problemo
for anyone who ONLY has Battlefront linked between Orgin and Epic games here is a solution that has worked by me, I hope it also works for you:
BEFORE YOU START TO FOLLOW THE STEPS FIRST READ EVERYTHING
1. uninstall Battlefront on Steam
2. uninstall the Orgin app from your PC
3. get a refund on the Epic Games Store (so you don't own the game on epic anymore, and I'm also not sure if you may be able to skip this step, but if you can still get a refund just do it. To refund it, simply contact Epic Games on their help by pressing the "contact us" button and ask them for a refund. Yet you are only able to do it if the purchase is not more than 14 days and you haven't played the game for more than 2 hours.) here's a link to contact Epic:
https://www.epicgames.com/help/en-US/search?page=1&query=refund
4. after you got the refund make sure that the game doesn't show up in the Epic Games Launcher library, if that's the case then go to the next step, if not ask Epic to help you (their support team is really kind and ask for just deleting the game from your account)
5. now you can contact EA Help, in the direct conversation you should just tell them about the same as what I told them (screenshots below), and here's the link to contact EA:
https://help.ea.com/de/contact-us/
6. after EA hopefully has completely unlinked your Epic account from Orgin, you can start to download your Steam Battlefront
7. if you have gone through all those steps and your download has finished and you also installed Orgin again, now the game should work
[DISCLAIMER] It has worked in my case, but it doesn't mean that it will in yours, so I don't want to be blamed for your lost time if it doesn't. But hopefully it will.
good luck
- @Stan_Java I tried this and no luck but totally agree with it being personal for everyone for if it works. My problem is my epic isn't even linked with my Origin but still shows that the game is the epic store version. I asked EA to remove it but they cant remove games from your library "apparently"
- @Leebo1705 did you get a refund?
- @Stan_Java Yep. My origin got hacked last week and linked to an epic account. I assume that's how I have it in my library. I got them to unlink the foreign account but never linked mine to it. I refunded the game on epic, uninstalled everything and started clean starting with Steam but still getting same problems.
For a quick fix I might just make a new Origin to link my Epic games so I can at least play it for now whilst we wait for the Steam fix.
Was just starting to get into the game too before all this happened :P - @Stan_Java does uninstalling battlefront 2 mean that you lose your data and progress
- @cybersteel014 no,you will keep your progress
- @Stan_Java Bro I did step by step as u said but its still not working for me.. ; (
- @DreamCatchXD I'm sorry buddy
