  • Have you installed The Sims 4 Legacy Edition?:  yes
  • Your Mac: MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012)
  • macOS: Yosemite 10.10.5
  • Graphics card :  Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB
  • Processor: 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5

    @lhbroderick 

    You don't need to use the Legacy Edition.

    Your MacBook Pro 2012 supports Metal.

    All you would need to do is upgrading to a OS that supports Metal.

    (So at least El Capitan. But I would avoid Sierra. 😉  )
