Sims 4 storage
I'm getting a new laptop soon with 1-2TB of storage and 16 core CPU. I want to play the sims 4 on it. Yes it's a MacBook lol. I know that MacBooks are not recommended for gaming at all but I'm really getting this laptop for school and thought to try out the sims anyway. I also seen that this laptop is good for gaming but not sure how true that is. It's the m4 pro max chip that comes in this laptop and I'm hoping it would work with the sims. I'm new to gaming on a laptop and not sure how much storage or ram I would really need for the sims itself. Like for the game, packs, mods, etc. I have not gotten the laptop yet and was just wanting to know how much storage and ram I would really need. Also, can I download just the game on my laptop and store the packs and things like that on an SSD? Thanks in advance.
Gallery not loading
I downloaded the sims on my Mac last month and just realized my gallery never works. it always says connection is required and it never connects. I have tried deleting all my mods and CC, uninstalling the game and EA app, repairing the app, clearing the cache and tray folder, reinstalling, etc. I am connected to wifi and internet. Im extremely frustrated and not sure what to do next. Please help!
New laptop
I recently got a new laptop as my old one broke and I couldn’t access it, and I redownloaded sims, but it doesn’t have my old game saved. I don’t know if it automatically saved to iCloud or not but I can’t seem to find my old game. It just says ‘new game.’ I am not sure if I am able to transfer my old game and where it might be saved to. I need some help please guys, thanks.
EA app launches Sims but game will not open.
Hello guys! I haven't played the Sims in over two weeks because of this and I'm having withdrawals. Here's my issue: My EA app physically launches the Sims. However, I wait and wait and nothing opens. I end up having to force quit the app because it says "Application not responding". Now I have a lot of CC and mods. I've gone through my Sims 4 Mods Manager and none of my mods need updates on that end. I've used the different forums to find and remove all of the ones that may be corrupted, and updated all of the ones that needed to be updated. I've also done batch fixing through Sims 4 Studio multiple times. I did the 50-50 as well. And still nothing. I have no crash reports or Last Exceptions because I have to manually close the game. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you in advance!
Mac - TS4 No Longer Running?
I use mods/cc, and I use Mac. I was playing normally, but then there were signs of a broken mod. I go through the usual process of weeding out which mod/cc it was. I end up removing all mods/cc, and then I repaired the game. The game would not start. I then deleted the EA App, and redownloaded the app and the sims 4. And it still won’t start. I have since repaired the game several times, and it is still not starting. What else can I do to get it up and running again?having issues with my game
Ok well first off when I went to log in to my game to play it said that I didn't have any games on my profile so I repaired it, then when I was able to log into my game it said that I have to download the two game packs that I just bought yesterday, which by the way I did download after buying them yesterday, and every time I try to go to play it says that I need to download it, I already checked and it says that it has been downloaded already, how do I fix this, please this really frustrating me. Oh and also when I went to update my game yesterday I had to repair then too.
Sims 4 no longer works.
I have been having issues for the past week or two now. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game a few times now. I have repaired the game. I even got to the point where I factory reset the entire game. Still, nothing works. Even on a clean game with 0 mods/cc it WILL NOT WORK. I was creating a brand new sim on a brand new clean game and the whole game froze up and said "not responding". And yes I have deleted the localthumbnailcache.package... more times than I can count. I have done everything I know/everything that has been suggested to me. Is this an EA problem at this point?EA app does not recoginze external hard drive
I've seen a lot of people playing The Sims on an external hard drive and decided to try it out myself. I have the Seagate Portable 2TB external hard drive HDD and I made sure to erase the hard drive and change the format to Mac OS journaled. I made a copy of my electronic arts folder on the hard drive and changed the download destination, but every time I try to download the game the EA app says the folder does not exist. Just wondering if anyone else had this problem and how could I go about fixing it.Stuck On Loading Screen Forever After Fresh Reinstall
I have tried posting on the EA Help forum (https://answers.ea.com/t5/Game-Issues/Problem-with-CAS/m-p/14362642#M24724) but have not been able to fix the problem. Basically, my game was taking forever to load into a save, and this hasn't happened since I updated both the game with Life and Death and updated to the new Sequoia OS for Mac. I am not sure if this is the cause, but this is when I noticed it was taking forever to load any of my saves. I do not play with CC or mods because I don't want to deal with any risks for corrupted files. I also have all the add-on content installed. Solutions I have tried: Deleting "The Sims 4" folder from my files to regenerate a new folder Deleting cache Going offline Checking system specs: I'm on 2022 MacBook Pro running Sequoia 15.2, Apple M2, 8 GB memory, and have about 93 GB of storage available and use the cloud. I have the game installed on an external hard drive with 5TB. This hasn't been an issue prior to the updates. Repairing the files on the EA app None of my anti-virus programs are blocking EA or The Sims 4 Uninstalled the game, and reinstalled it Uninstalled EA app and reinstalled it Basically, once I start the game, I'm prompted to go to CAS to create a character. I just randomly create one and then once I press the checkmark to save the family and move them into a neighborhood... nothing. It just goes to the loading screen and plays the music for more than 20 minutes. I give up and force quit the program. During this process, there have been only 2 times out of the many times I have started a game with a new "TS4" folder, but it gets stuck on a loading screen again after saving and starting a new a save. Since then, I have reinstalled the game three times and no fix. I just tried it again after the third reinstall and after creating a family, it's just stuck on the loading screen. Prior to the updates and Life and Death install, it would take less than 5 minutes to load into a family, which is why I think this could be update-related. Also, I noticed that if I go into Mission Control, there are multiple windows generated even though The Sims 4 is not running. I am not sure if this is related to the issue but this is something I have not noticed before. I have attached screenshots of this on this post. I am really frustrated and would really love to play this game that I bought. Anyone have any suggestions? I have tried everything that I've found on Google, EA Help, and Reddit and nothing has worked. Please help.

Please Help…..Sims 4 won’t let me update, repair or uninstall on EA App. Clear Cache + Completely Deleted App w/ Reinstall. I’m still getting Game Update Required. It will not allow me to repair or uninstall game on app. Trashed everything on MAC pertaining to Sims 4 and still nothing. It’s been almost 2 weeks since I’ve been able to play online and/or offline. After not playing for a few months, I bought some new packs and tried to open my game, but it said the file was corrupted, and suggested I repair the files via the EA app. I followed the instructions, but as it repairs each of my packs, it gets to 86% and stops, saying there was an installation error and to try again later. I play on Mac, I've tried clearing my cache already, as well as deleting and reinstalling the EA app, but nothing has helped. There's no specific error code or anything for the installation error.EA app for Mac listed bought pack as unpurchased, accidentally bought twice
I bought The Sims 4 My Wedding Stories earlier today and upon going to download, had a button that said "Purchase", not "Download". I assumed the pack was unpurchased and bought it again. My order history has both orders, and obviously I can't own the pack twice. Impossible to talk to a human at support, so I am turning to the forums. Please help, even if I get a game pack of equal value rather than a refund I would like some form of ratification of this issue. If someone can even point me to opening a support case on Mac that would help tons.
Loading Screen will NOT stop loading
I redownloaded the sims today and was playing for a good five hours until I got stuck on the loading screen and I waited for awhile because I didn't want to lose my progress but I gave up and then force quit and then tired again and again and it still kept loading. I've tried tutorials such as replacing my EA file with a new one and copying and pasting my saves back and when I did it kept loading again. I tried restarting my mac and repairing the game as well as "renaming" my file old and reseting it. Although it did work when I started on a completely new save but I don't want to lose my saves. I have zero mods and plenty of storage on my mac. Idk what else to do!! HelpUpdates/Repairs keep getting stuck
Ever since the switch from Origin to EA on Mac, I've had issues every time the Sims puts out an update. When I try to repair the game, it gets stuck at 51%. When trying the update, I never make it past 3%. I've tried clearing the EA cache, deleting and re-downloading EA, and restarting my computer. It's not my wifi either, I can't get any closer to the router and everything else is running smoothly. Help!HELP!
So I recently discovered that I could get sims on my iMac, instead of playing on my very laggy laptop that I have. Especially since I have add ons. I was downloading it, and I was confused why my add ons literally were not being added on. I searched it up, and it says it's because I bought a windows version of the add on. But I feel like just because I bought the add on with a window version, it should be in some sort of file that when you download from the same account, it will be there no matter what. If the add on is not yet available on iMac is one thing, and frankly kinda stupid but I'm assuming that they just added this compatibility with iMac recently so whatever. But what do I do? I have the Get famous pack, which is the only pack that I can download, I also have cats and dogs, vampires, and seasons pack. I don't want to re-buy them, so is there a way I can switch it or something? Or have EA switch it/add it on my account? I'm not sure how kind EA is with this sort of stuff. But I would like at least an answer/solution to my problem. Any help is needed! Thank you!
