Game crashing or not loading after updating? Post here.
If your game is crashing after recently updating it please try the two most basic and fundamental steps to resolve it before posting: Repair the game in EA App Test a new clean game. Don't just cherry pick a few files and folders you think you should remove, such as just the Mods folder, or a few random Mods, or any old cache file, or a couple of screenshots, test a completely new, clean, vanilla game. Only you can do that and it can take some time. if the cause is Mods head over to the Mods forum for further help - The Sims 4 Mods & Custom Content | EA Forums if the cause is one or more particular save files, upload them to a file sharing site and post the link here (tag me) or PM me and I can test in my game If your game will not load after repairing it AND testing a completely clean Sims 4 folder please post here with the specs of your Mac. You can find these in Apple > About This Mac: model, e.g. M4 MacBook Pro year, e.g. 2024 macOS version, e.g. Sequoia 15.3.2 (yes, the FULL version is important, with all numbers) memory, e.g. 64GB storage available, e.g. 1.5 TB of 2TB. This info can be found in System Settings > General > About or More Info... in the About This Mac window. Please also post a screenshot showing the contents of the new Sims 4 folder in Finder: make sure the files are in list order in Finder with Dates and Size clearly visible. make sure all files and folders in the TS4 folder are showing, don't cut off the screenshot have the path bar clearly showing in the screenshot: with the Finder window open and selected click on View > Show Path Bar in the menu bar at the top of your desktop. DLC missing
Hello, I've been playing the sims on the Playstation but recently decided to move to my computer, I logged into the account with the Playstation login but it's saying I have no DLC despite me having a lot of DLC on my playstation. Do I have to purchase it all again or is there a way for me to get my DLC on my computer?Sims 4 won’t launch on EA App (Mac M3) – tried everything
Hi, Im having serious trouble launching The Sims 4 on my Mac with the M3 chip. The EA app opens normally but when I click play, it looks like it's working but just goes back to the initial page in the EA app. Here's what I've done: Cleared EA app cache Reinstalled the app twice restarted my Mac multiple times Tried laughing both from the EA app and double clicking the game deleted the Sims 4 cache and local files (Like localthubmcache.package) removed the entire mods folder tried using Origin instead of EA app Checked game folder and everything seems to be there Looked for updates--theres no clear way to manually uptake the game contacted EA support but can't reply to the case anymore some users on TikTok say they had to wait for the game to update by itself It's been days and im completely stuck. Ive spent hours trying to fix this. Im using a MacBook with the apple M3 chip and MacOS sonoma. Has anyone found a solution? id be really grateful for any help or workaround. thanks in advance.Bugged into just loading
My sims 4 game crashed two days ago, and now it just says Saving and its the loading icon on the screen, I can't turn of my computer or even restart it, I can't close the game either or do anything. its just loading and loading - and its been loading for two days, my computer also died but when it got back on it was still the same thing . what should I do?
How to get digital deluxe version on the EA app?
Good morning, Mac Simmers! I'm trying to upgrade my version of the sims to the digital deluxe edition but I can't seem to find it on the EA app. I'm running macOS Sequoia 15.4.2 and the latest version of the EA app. I can't seem to find any information on it on the official EA site either as it just shows a blank page. I thought I upgraded a while back but turns out I haven't and now theres no option for it either among the add-ons or in my library. I think remember something a while back when the EA app was first getting implemented that it was available but that also may have still been origin. How can I upgrade? Cheers!
How to save Sims data when wiping Mac?
I have to wipe my Mac as I've been having performance issues with it. I thought my Sims data would be saved in the EA app, but luckily, I looked it up first, and I saw it's saved locally on my computer. I've been playing with the same family for over 2 years and would be extremely upset to lose that data. How do I make sure to keep it? I just downloaded sims on my new macbook yesterday, and spent hours today downloading new custom content for it. I downloaded probably 400+ files. I assumed they went into the "content" folder, and moved all of the files there. Then opened the game, and none of it was there despite cc and mods enabled. When I opened up finder all of it was gone. Can anyone help me with this? It's no longer in my downloads because I moved it all into the content folder. I am hoping there is some way I don't have to go back through and spend hours downloading it all again. Thanks!!
