cannot turn off the game
hello, today I played the sims 4. everything is fine. I saved the game and went to the main menu. I can't move anywhere from it or turn off the game. there is no way to do it manually. macbook cannot be turned off or restarted because the sims is always on. how to turn it off?
Sims 4 won't launch - Tried everything - I have no Mods
Hi There, I have the EA app and when I click on Sims 4 to play, It minimises the EA app, the Sims 4 app bounces like its going to open, then it disappears and takes me back to the EA app. This happened all of a sudden and had made no changes that I am aware of from when I last played. I have no Mods or anything like that installed. I have tried the following a number of occacains in a number of orders and still does network Repair Sims 4 Delete Sims 4 then re-install EA app recovery and clear the Cache Delete the EA app and reinstall Delete my Macbook Cache Restarted my Macbook Gave EA app access to full hardrive
SIMS 4 NOT LAUNCHING
I have the Sims 4 in my library but I can't run it. When I try to reinstall it doesn't work and it says the game is not findable. But it's still in my library. I can't find it in my computer either. Is there anything I can do? I've tried clearing the cache and a lot of things but none seem to work. I can't even open it, I can't launch it. It says that content is missing or sth. It says an update is required but I can't update bc my computer can't find the game and I've tried changing the disk permissions many times as well, it doesn't seem to work. I've already tried repairing the game and reinstalling the EA app and it doesn't work. I've been in chatting with 3 different assistants from EA and none were able to find a solution. What do I try next? PD: I also deleted al my CC.
Expansion Pack not appearing, can’t download
I just merged two of my ea accounts, one account had the sims and the other had the Cats and Dogs expansion. The merge worked but Cats and Dogs is not appearing in game or in my “add-ons” in the library. However, when I open the sims, the “store” section on the homescreen shows that I own the expansion and that I just need to download it, which is strange because… there appears to be no way for me to download it. Any fixes?
EA App will not launch
I get error code 104: Background Services Crashed every time I try to launch the EA App. Talking with EA "Advisors" has not brought any solution. I've updated my Mac and the EA App, I've reinstalled it, I've reinstalled in safe boot. Nothing. This wonderful, wonderful piece of software just won't work all of a sudden. I'm having trouble getting The Sims 4 to work on my Mac. I have an M1 chip and macOS version 13.3.1. I've tried several troubleshooting steps, but nothing has worked so far: Turned off verification on my EA account. Tried downloading Origin for Mac, but it didn’t work. Downloaded the Reset Tool for origin, but it just bounced on my screen and didn’t open. Tried installing the EA app, but I kept getting a 500 error when attempting to load it. I'm not sure if this is a network issue, as The Sims 4 worksfine on my PlayStation. Does anyone have suggestions or know how to fix this? Any help would be appreciated.
Deluxe Digital Upgrade
Hi! I just bought the "Life & Death" EP and my sim just had the ""I want to throw the most bizarre costume party of all time!" [Digital Deluxe]" goal in her bucket list. Problem is I don't have the Deluxe Digital Edition (I only have the limited edition) and I can't throw the party, so she can't fulfill the goal. I've been trying to find a way to upgrade to the Digital Deluxe on Mac, but I can't find one. It isn't available to purchase on the EA app. Can you help me please? Thank you!
"You Don't Have Access"
Hello! I logged into the EA app tonight to play the Sims 4 when I noticed there were 2 new kits available for purchase. I looked into them and liked them so I purchased them. When I went to download them I got the following error message: "You don't have access We've paused the download because you don't own this title. You can cancel the download, keep it paused, or visit the Game Hub for more options." I have tried a bunch of different things to solve this issue, all to no avail: cleared the cache for my EA App restarted my computer double checked that the purchase went through successfully cancel download & try again (have done this 5-10 times tbh) opened the store in-game hoping I'd be able to download from there or that opening & closing the game would reset something to allow me to download cleared a bunch of space on my computer & tried downloading again in case space had been the issue I'm SO incredibly frustrated at this point. I genuinely just wanted to contact a support agent or something at this point so someone could fix this for me but I can't even find an option to message with anyone but the AI robot. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!My saved Sims 4 game was SUDDENLY and AUTONOMOUSLY deleted...
My saved Sims 4 game was SUDDENLY and AUTONOMOUSLY deleted... I would never have expected the huge EA Games to pointlessly delete my game that I put so much time and effort into. When I looked at what was written, I saw that there were many people who encountered this problem, I still don't understand how you haven't found a solution to this... There is no saved data in the Electronics Art file or any other files, my game didn't come back even though I used the repair option, I think it's floating in space...
Sims 4 Won't Load; Cannot Get Past Loading Screen
Ever since the latest game update I am unable to get past the loading screen on Sims 4. I do generally play with mods, but have tried to repair the game / remove all mods and play from a completely new save, and I still cannot get past the loading screen. I have lost three years of gameplay, because of this issue. This never used to be an issue until we were all moved to playing via the app and not disc. I play on mac so have attached a system report.
Corrupt gallery items
I recently downloaded TS4 and from the get go I have struggled with my gallery. I know it isn't a mods or CC issue as from the initial download the problem has occurred. When I go to the gallery to see the different builds people have created, it takes forever to load and then nothing happens. A big red X shows up where the images should be and when I try to access them, it states the files are corrupted and asks if I want to delete it. This happens for ALL the files in the gallery. The 'My Library' loads fine, but as I'm new to the game, I have no personal uploads apart from the ones that come loaded onto the game. I have tried the following tactics to try and rectify but NOTHING seems to be working: Removing TS4 files, putting it onto my desktop and restarting the game (nothing changes). I have also deleted the Localthumbcache.package, and have tried with and without mods and cc. Excluded all of TS4 files from my firewall (I'm with Norton 365) and excluded it from scans too. I have repaired the game in the EA app untold amounts of times, I only have the base game so although a quick process there seems to be a lot of repairs going on. I am working on a MacBook, I have plenty of memory, no lagging during actual gameplay, and honestly everything has been fine other than the gallery. I understand it isn't a necessity BUT I really wanna have a look and download some of the amazing content people have created! Sorry this is a long one but if this can be fixed I will be forever grateful. (attached files show screenshots of what I'm having trouble with )
Exception Error
My sim eats on her couch and everytime she gets up from eating with a plate in her hand she freezes and the whole game freezes up. My sims are stuck except for blinking and slightly moving their heads. And I have to force quit my game bc it won’t let me save. I got this last exception error at that time- can anyone tell me what this means? I’ve never seen it before.Broken Update
Hello, I was wondering what to do about a broken update. It updated all the way until 99% but it will not finish the update. it froze and hasn't been fixed since. I have tried everything. I have tried updating my macbook, rebooting it, and deleting and redownloading the EA app. I tried clearing my cache. Nothing is making it fixed. What can I do? Please help...
