Sorry to read you are experiencing this. Would you mind explaining when you are having lag? Is it in a certain game mode? When doing certain actions?
Which PlayStation 4 do you have?

@mariaaaglo are you getting any error messages when the game crashes? Has it worked like this since the day you installed the game?

Let's make sure there's no corrupted cached data in your console causing issues. Please, clear your PlayStation 4 cache following these steps:
- Turn off your PlayStation 4 by holding the PlayStation button on your controller and selection 'Turn off'.
- Unplug the power cable from the back of your PlayStation and wait 30 seconds.
- Plug the cable again and turn on your console.
This won't delete your saved game data, so your Sims will be there when you open the game again.

- I've tried this method, and it only works for a few hours to be honest, however my sims only freeze when I have the ultra fast speed, which I use fast speed mostly all the time and literally it freezes way too often. Which is a shame because sims is actually a fun and addicted game but just gets me very angry that I can't enjoy the actual game play.
Please solve this issue for sims lovers - I’m having my problem with sims 4 got it a week after it came out digitally in November for ps4. The loading screens are long and it’s like my game lags the time on the game speed has a lag and then it glitches back some hours. My sims take years to do one tasks so then it takes forever to do a task. I turned off my game unuggee power cord for 30 seconds and still having this same issue worked everything

1. I’m playing on PS4 PRO 1 TB
2. It crashes already 4 times!
3. It lags when i do some tasks or actions with sims or use the time lapse
4. I’ve the best lan cable you can have and yes i’ve tried to turn off and turn on the ps4 and stuff and guess what?! Every other game is working well but sims don’t... I bought my PS4 just for the Sims 4. I'm actually very dissapointed, it crashed so many times . I save so frequently cuz I'm always worried it might crash again. Twice I had to save my game to a USB, uninstall reinstall everything because a bunch of stuff wasn't working. It's weird because Sims is the only game I play on it . My PS4 is new does this mean it's not strong enough to handle Sims4 .
- I have same problem. IL there are many bugs. My Gane runs very slow. The Sims spends most time picking up and dropping toddler in high chair and never gets her food. Even does this when I tell them to give kid bath. Theyou will go back to they original position if I try to fast forward, it freezes up game. I have to pause the game for 3-5 seconds in order for anything to happen after choosing an actions. It's not fun at all. And I spent a good few hundred on these expansion packs.
- Is there any way of getting a refund due to poor performance?!?!? I literally can't play the game.
My game continues to lag, I tried the suggestions. Anyone find out how to fix this??
- @EA_Mai I play on a big lot and a big family and I have many more problems, every-time I give the sims a action it’s so long for them to receive it and then they cancel the action I give them , I can’t tell the sims todo anything, I’ve gotten the kids taken away because I can’t take care of them , nothing allows me to the game is slow . Like It’s not fair , I should be able to give them multiple actions at once and I can’t do that . They can barely do 1 thing , I can’t get them to do anything they gotta do it on their own. Witch makes no point of them game .
- @alexanderwang21 all of my sims are in constant need for everything because I don’t do anything BECAUSE THE GAME DOESN'T ALLOW ME TO like what’s the point if the game is not gonna work at all!
@TortoiseTootsTHIS LITERALLY HAPPENS TO ME. I literally ask the sim to feed the child and it gets the child put them in the high chair and then walks away without feeding them . So I’ve gotten the kids taken away because of that, I neglect all my sims
