Console user, game constantly crashing, library gone
I play on the PS5. And since the new market place was added and the update happened, like everyone else, every time I load the game, my packs all appear again as if I just bought them. I was having issues adding things to my library, as it said it was full...never had that before so i deleted a few things. I was creating a new sim and chose one from my library that i had saved from the gallery and was going to edit it and then my game froze. I shut it down, and it took longer to do so, which I found odd. Then when I opened the game again, it said there was corrupt data and it would be deleted. I continued. Now my worlds are there. But everything in my library is gone, all my sims, all my builds, everything. It was wiped clean. Luckily in the world's my stuff was there. So I went back and saved everything in my library again. But as I exited my last world the game crashed again. So I closed it down and opened it up. Again at start up all my packs are showing new and my library is gone again. Now when I play with any of my sims that I created, they all have paper bags on their heads. What is going on?New update problems April 2026
Hello! With the new update in April 2026, these are the issues I am seeing: 1.) Upon loading, the packs are showing as “new” and I have to click through all of them before I can load my game. 2.) Crashing when trying to place a gallery item and also upload an item to the gallery. Happens for both lots and sims. 3.) Crash upon trying to save the game from a lot. I tried starting a new game, waiting 1 min after opening gallery as suggested before interacting, and cleared the reserve space. Any other ideas?Main menu and gallery library issues
I play on Xbox. I'm going to assume the update on the marketplace has something to do with what's been going on. When I start up my sims game, when it goes to the menu, it shows all my packs, and it’s annoying about having to back out of all those packs. Now when I go to the gallery and go to my library, when I click on a build it stays stuck. I can leave it out of it or if I try to delete a build from my build it wants to delete and I also get stuck. I even try to place a build onto a lot and it won't place, and it also stays stuck where I still can’t back out. Again I play on xbox. Is there anybody that’s going through this?

It occurs randomly during gameplay on my console after a few hours. What happens when the bug occurs? In the middle of gameplay the game stops suddenly and I get a blue loading screen with spinning plumbob and a message that says "We are updating your graphics settings so that you can continue to enjoy playing The Sims 4". What do you expect to see? If there is something I need to change on my console settings myself, I expect it to tell me what to do to avoid this happening. I haven't changed any settings myself and can't find any mention of this message anywhere affecting others. I've done a console reset twice and reinstalled all my content twice. I've power cycled numerous times. Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used. Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes Please describe the patch or change you made. It started a few months ago around the time I started to get a lot of crashing on save and exit and sometimes on travel or CAS then eventually on loading too. I already mentioned this on the feed about crashing on save and exit but it was suggested the 2 things weren't linked. It started after installing cottage living if memory serves me correctly. I'm extremely unhappy with the stability of the Sims 4 especially after purchasing a next gen Xbox specifically for this game after my Xbox one couldn't cope with all the content I had, it works fine for it's new owner with several games installed. I've had months of crashing on my brand new console and the feed on that subject has had no serious engagement from the Sims team, I've even reached out directly. I'm trying to get to the bottom of it myself but a lot of the research I'm doing mentions that graphics issues can cause crashing. So I want a definitive answer from devs or someone on the subject. I've spent so much money but every day I have issues, it takes 3 attempts to load my game now and I often have to restart my console in the middle of loading as it freezes. I play around 4/5 hours every single day. The 2 things did start around the same time so instead of putting up with the message I'm trying to get it resolved. If there is something that I need to change on my console to avoid this then I need to know, I've had enough of it now. If it's not linked to crashing then ok, that needs investigation for all of us separately as we have already reported. But everything I'm reading says graphics issues are a big factor in crashing. Hi! My sim constantly showers. This started recently where she showers, gets out, showers again & repeats the process over and over again. Another issue I’m noticing is her outfit and her hair doesn’t save. Everytime I change her outfit to the one I want and save it, the game loads and she’s wearing a completely different outfit hair. I don’t understand why it’s happening but it started 2 days ago.Why is my sims different colors?
I just log in after a couple of weeks and suddenly my sims is all red and white and I don’t know what’s going on, it says in unable to log into marketplace online but what does that mean? I have bought a lot of packs and kits did I lose it all or how can I get it back??CAS bug
So I just loaded up the game today and when I went to create my sim I couldn’t use my right joy stick at all, it’s not a controller thing as it works fine elsewhere and i’ve tried two different controllers, then suddenly my buttons (A X Y B) didn’t work either, I don’t know if this is a issue with my console or if it’s a sims bug. Does anyone else have this or know how to fix it?
Sims 4 New Update April 17, 2026
Hello Sims Team, I have purchased almost all the Sims packs and since the update I have experienced difficulties with loading in to the game where pop-ups continues to occur as in "new content" and then the content I "own" is installed on my Xbox Series X and I can access them in my game however with the update if I use the gallary is states "unowned" but if I click on the pack in the gallary it states "owned". Why can I not download builds if I "own" the content?Constant crashing
Bought every dlc and can barely use them since travelling anywhere makes the game instantly crash, which is starting to make to game boring for me to even play, not to mention a waste of money. Saving also seems to crash the game and im losing hours of progress. Won't be buying anymore future dlcs, and after 20 years of playing sims, im close to never playing it again and just deleting it..Missing kits since update to market place.
I logged on to my sims 4 game today, first time since marketplace came to console. And have realised that although I purchased the royalty and legacy bundle I no longer have access to the two kits that came with it (silver screen style kit and tea time solarium kit) I still have my early purchase content, how can these kits be restored to me. I play on Xbox series x and my Xbox ID is Leese90.personal gallery empty after new update
So a brief moment, I play the Sims almost every day except this last week and I heavily rely on my personal gallery for custom tattoos I've made, builds etc. going in to play my legacy save I've realised that all my saves are gone and my library is completely blank from creations I've made or from other creators. I play on PS5 so I have no mods or cc that could've broken my game. I need to know if I can retrieve my stuff back.Innisgreen glitch?
I just downloaded the Enchanted By Nature Pack and the lot under the big tree (Crannamor Residential) isn’t coming up on my map. It shows the tree, but no actual lot. Has anyone else had this issue? I have a specific sim that I’m trying to move in there and the lot doesn’t come up when I try to split households. I can’t even directly travel to the lot. I have to travel to one of the surrounding lots, find the house, and then I can click the visit option
Center on Current Lot button misplaced on console
Button still accessible, but now you have to toggle UI select mode (or whatever you call it), navigate to Notifications and then go one step further to the right. p.s. this has been an issue since 2021 when on PC said button was moved from bottom row to the top
