Re: Constable Stuck at Stocks

@nicoleb1236 , Sims Medieval right? Are you playing with any mods? Just asking so I can try to figure out what is causing the problem.

@nicoleb1236 , go into the Sims Medieval folder found Documents > Electronic Arts > Sims Medieval. Delete the three files that end in the .cache extension. Start up your game and see if the Constable is now free to move and do what you direct him to do. Don't worry about deleting these files as the game will regenerate new ones. Sometimes these files can become corrupted through a lot of game play and it's best to delete them periodically.

@nicoleb1236   Do you have The Sims Medieval on Origin or Steam? What is your operative system (Windows 7, 8, 10, MacOS etc)? It would help to locate the files.

The Commands.ini file should be where you installed the game, so for me on Windows 10 and Origin: E:>Origin>Origin Games>The Sims Medieval>GameData>Shared>NonPackaged>Ini.
The default path on Origin is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims Medieval

The location of the game files is different from the user folder, which is located in Documents>Electronic Arts.

It sounds very odd that you do not have a GamaData folder. I'm not sure if it matters, but if you have Windows, make sure it displays hidden files:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14201/windows-show-hidden-files
Tell me if I need to find other descriptions.

Also try to verify the files:
On Origin: open Origin client>My Game Library; right-click on The Sims Medieval, choose Repair in the dropdown menu, wait till its all done, exit Origin by logging out.

On Steam: open Steam client>Library; right-click on the game name and select Properties>Local Files>Verify Integrity of Game Files

This will update the game's program files (not the ones in your user folder), so any edits, to Commands.ini file or others, will have to be redone. You don't need to download it, but can edit it yourself: in the last line in the file, change 0 to 1, so that it reads: TestingCheatsEnabled=1 (while making note of the warning above). If you cannot edit the file, right-click on it and open Properties. Uncheck Read only and Hidden.
