Re: Sims Medieval wont launch after update (DISC VERSION)
@k1nana Unfortunately, even after trying different things, including mods, I have to report that a patched version of a physical copy of The Sims Medieval does not work on Windows 10. The reason might be Windows 10's incompatibility with disk authentication software, as the first thing I saw in the patch user agreement mentioned SecuROM, which Windows 10 does not support.
Your options are:
- Reinstall the game from the disk and avoid the patch at all costs; the downside is that you will not get access to features and fixes that the patches introduced, and you probably won't be able to install Pirates and Nobles Adventure Pack
- Attempt to redeem your game code on The Sims 3 website, using the login you have for your Origin account; this will give you access to a digital copy of the game which works on Windows 10 even with the patch: https://www.thesims3.com/registeragame.html
- If you are not able to redeem your code and EA support is not able to replace it or register the game for you, you will have to purchase the game on Origin. It is available as The Sims Medieval Deluxe Pack and includes the base game and Pirates and Nobles.
Let me know how it goes.
