Re: The Sims C.C wont run on my win.7 administrator privileges problem ..HELP
I'm not sure if they ever pinned this problem with old games running on SecuRom since I and many others have answered this. But hopefully someone can pin this solution somewhere.
But I am going to assume this is a Windows Update causing the problem. So I'll try to keep it simple (Since it is really late where I'm at).
1. First go to start and enter your Control Panel
2. Go to System and Security
3. Under the Windows Update tab click on View Installed Updates
4. On the upper corner, click on the search box and search: KB3086255. Wait while it searches for installed updates. If it finds the KB3086255 update, right-click on the update and Uninstall it. It will ask you to restart the computer for the change to take effect.
5. Once your computer restarts, follow the first two steps from before but this time instead of checking installed updates click on Check for Updates.
6. Click on the Check For Updates on the Side Tab or on the main box depending where it is located on yours. Once complete, click on the # Important Updates Are Available.
7. In the Important updates tab, look for the Update KB3086255 and right-click it.
8. In the options menu, click Hide Update. This will prevent Windows from installing this Update. (There are chances Windows may disregard this and try to install it again, if it does, just follow these steps again if the game fails to play because of the Update.)
Hopefully the images are published, if they do, hopefully this is the solution. If it is, I hope you and everyone else can get help from this tutorial.
Night! Gotta go to sleep!
