1 Sim Lane - The Jones Family

You know the saying? Keeping up with the Joneses? Well, the Jones family are doing pretty well for themselves. Or are they? Every family has their quirks. Edward works in business, Barbara is a stay at home mom, and Bobby is doing well in school. Sounds perfect, right? I guess we'll have to wait and find out. 

4 Sim Lane - The Maximus Family

"Jimmy" liked to use people. Or rather, he didn't necessarily like to use people, it was just something he did all the time. A very emotionless, insensitive person, he would lead the ladies' heart astray with compliments and mild flirting when he wanted something from them. He didn't care which one of them got hurt as he saw them only as stepping stones. That is...until he met his match in Princess Zaghawa. Born with a silver spoon in her mouth, she was was raised in a world of comfort and leisure. But her wild heart and free spirit could not be tamed by the mediocre aristocrats that craved her hand in marriage. Following her heart and talent led her to the top of the opera world, but it wasn't until she met the amazing MAHUIZOH "Jimmy" Maximus that she knew her true love.

8 Sim Lane - The Valentinos

Rudy is a hopeless romantic with dreams of being famous and Julia is a detective in law enforcement.

9 Sim Lane - The Hatfields

Ulysses T. Hatfield never thought he was good for anything, but deep down he felt he was meant for something. He joined the military and hopes that putting his trust in a "higher authority" will help him figure out what he's meant for in life. For his wife, Ruby Ann, life always seems to be greener on the other side of the fence. She wanted to be an actress, but it never seemed to work out. At least she has a good man by her side and three beautiful children. Her daughter, Elizabeth Elvira, seems to have a lot of potential. Ruby Ann seems to be living life vicariously through her brilliant daughter, while her two sons, Billy and Hank, just seem to cause trouble and tease their sister. 

2 Sim Lane

2 Sim Lane - The empty mansion at the top of the hill and the envy of everyone in the neighborhood.

It is great that you have recreated Neighbourhood 1 from Sims 1 in Newcrest! 🙂 It looks great! It was lovely seeing your sims 4 versions of the sims 1 sims and their homes, and great to read the background details that you wrote about each family.

Let's get started!

The first thing to do is to find jobs for these two!

Bob is lazy and not interested in much. Going into business and working in the mailroom seems like a good option for him. 

Betty wants to be a musician, so she's going into the Entertainment career.

Since it's Sunday, they will just relax and get ready for their first days at work.



Betty needs to practice guitar and Bob decides to enjoy the outdoors and read a book.






Bob may have found an activity he likes to do. 

He may be a slob...





Seriously, Bob? I think you missed the toilet. That's disgusting.

But...



He does the cooking.



And the repairs!



And Betty loves him, and that's good enough for him.

They met some of their neighbors - Diane Pleasant and Bella Goth.

Betty decided to play outside to try and earn some tips, even though she wasn't that good at guitar yet. Turns out, you need to be on a public venue to get tips I think. Oh well.

Or maybe she was just really bad...




Barbara was scared off by her playing, but at least Diane stuck around. Her and Betty actually got on quite well.



Betty had to go off to work, and...Diane decided to stick around and chat with Bob. Oh dear. I guess they got on pretty well too.




Bob, stop flirting with Diane! Time to send her home. The random flirting in this game is out of hand. 

Well, in a short time, both Bob and Betty were promoted to level 3 in their careers! I think an upgrade to the house may be in order soon...

They got a new chess table for the patio so Bob could work on his logic skill.

Well, when you have a mod that prevents townies from generating, I guess that's what happens...



Diane and Betty have become really good friends now. Thankfully, Betty didn't find out about her fliting with her husband. Hopefully that was a one time thing.



Another neighbor come to visit? Hello, Bobby Jones! Where's your parents??




Bob and Betty like kids. In fact, Bob is ready for them to have some of their own. They use the money they've been earning to add an addition to the house.





The porch is smaller now, but that's okay.



Bob decides to plant some flowers out back. They will need to save up some more money if they want to bring a little Newbie into the world.



Bob, have you discovered a new talent?? Well, that's all for now. 🙂

@belalucina I haven't done the playing for tips at all. Hopefully she really wasn't that bad and that it has to be done on a venue or public lot. 😃 Oh, can't wait for Bob and Betty to add to their family.

@LegacySims2017 I think it must need to be a public lot because usually my sims get tips even if they are terrible lol. 

It was great to read the updates. Congratulations to them on their career promotions! 🙂 The nursery is sweet.

Here's an update from the Newbies:

The new maid came today! Meet Brigit the maid!

She was in a flirty mood it seems. Bob was at work, so Betty got to meet her. Brigit cleaned very fast. Betty was impressed.




Bob and Betty have completely different schedules, so they only see each other late at night and in the morning currently. Bob has taken up painting as an after work activity.



Initially, he's not very good at it and gets a fear of failure.



Betty is doing great at work though, and comes home with another promotion!



They add on a room upstairs with some of the extra money and rearrange the kitchen a little bit. There is no picture of the room upstairs, as it is still unfinished.




The next day it storms which seems to put a damper on everyone's moods.



Even the maid.



And poor Bella!



Betty and Diane hang out and chat while their husbands are at work. They've become very good friends and Diane listens to Betty's guitar music and notices that she has improved greatly!




As Bob comes home and Betty heads to work he takes up his painting again. The rain has inspired him.





He eats dinner alone, since Betty works late.



They have a good evening together later and then share breakfast in the morning. They have to take advantage of all the moments they can get lately.



Bob does some yoga, and then heads to work...and earns another promotion! 





And...to leave you, I give you...the garden which is coming along nicely.

@belalucina Last time I hired a maid, she just sat around and didn't do much except eat my food and use my electricity. 😃 Glad yours was a fast cleaner. Maybe when I hire one for my current Legacy, they are like yours. I find it funny that Bob wasn't good at painting but then get inspired and likes it later.

Congratulations to them both on their career promotions! 🙂  It is great that now Bob is enjoying doing painting. The growing plants are going great. The porch is a lovely place to enjoy playing chess outdoors near the pretty flowers.

I've been remaking the NPC's that show up to match the ones from the original Sims. So far we have Brigit the Maid who you've already seen, and...

@belalucina Good job on the NPCs. I enjoy Sims discover they have more personality traits than what is given to them. Makes the game more fun. And I especially enjoy the Clumsy trait.

Bob was...getting himself a snack and almost missed the ultrasound. Almost looks like he's having a baby himself. 😃



Finally...about time, Bob!



They had to add another bassinette to the nursery.



Bob and Betty can't wait to meet you, little ones.



Betty is still keeping up with her fitness; she wants the babies to be healthy too. Though, given her clumsiness, I'm surprised she picked the treadmill again. I mean...it is raining outside, so I guess that was the only option.



The next day was sunny and Neighborhood Brawl Day. Bob met some of the neighbors and got into some fights. It seemed a great way to make friends actually.



And he won all his fights too...






Betty's impressed.

I'm purposefully not paying their bills so the repo man shows up (I have to give him a makeover!):



Betty is not pleased. "Bob, I thought you paid the electric bill!"
Bob: "Well, I can somehow still see to read, so it's all good."



Betty got a promotion and is now in the musician branch! She'll be taking some time off now until the twins arrive. 🙂

It is great that Bob won all his brawls on Neigbourhood Brawl Day and made friends at the same time! 

@belalucina Ooo, I was browsing mods about a week or so ago and found the exact mod I think you're using for the ultrasound. The gender reveal caught my attention, so I downloaded it. I always with MC Command Center to know what gender and how many my Sim is having. I thought that mod would be more fun with the gender reveal on my latest legacy and then share it with those following along for Generation 2 and onward.
