Re: Time freezing & Resetting

Earlier today, I tried to flush the cache by using a method from the Sims forums that was suggested. It involved removing all of the files from My Documents/Electronic Arts folder and moving back just the characters after creating new files by running the game. It did not clear up any problems for me.

This problem happens with both of my current households (single member in each).

I took some basic readings with Task Manager during each of the speed settings (for reference), as well as when the game enters the unresponsive "frozen" state. I've indicated the RAM usage with a + during this state because the memory usage climbs slowly (~0.1GB per real-time second) until the game regains it's responsiveness and snaps back in time to when it initially began.

I have noticed that it seems to only enter this state when I am in Game Speed 3. I'm not sure if this is a coincidence since I spend most of my game time in that speed, or if it is that speed setting which is bugged.

This suspended state does not seem dependant upon performing any particular task. I have had it happen while eating, while synthesizing a potion, while watering plants, washing hands in the sink. I have even had it happen when I was between actions, though I don't notice it until I issue a command and find that my Sim is just standing there, rather than performing the task.

I have also tried different game settings (quality, resolution, windowed/full screen, etc), but the bug persists.
